I usually avoid details but I DID IT FOR HER OK. ARE YOU PROUD OF ME ARISA
I was planning on drawing something completely different but the new card said nO you WILL succumb to hair down Arisa so I did and I am heckin tired. I love you baby girl happy birthday <333
Also while I am at it, here is this essay I wrote?? back when Double Rainbow was on EN. I didn't agree with people on other platforms saying Arisa not yelling at Tae in Season 2 was character development bc of DR so I typed up an analysis of my bestest girl, as you do . . . and never posted it until like two days ago but since people read it alfkdsf I'm putting it here too in case anyone else is into that
[LATE]OMG I JUST REALIZED ITS ARISAS BIRTHDAY OMG HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL ILYSM ARISA Arisa will always have a place in my heart she has been one of my top girls ever scence I joined 1-2 years ago I love you Arisa happy birthday I hope you and your gf misaki are doing something later
Alright. The time has finally come for me to say . . .
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ARISA!!!!!!!!
Before I get to your birthday speech appreciation letter-esque thing, I'm just going to talk about the drawings a little bit! (And one other thing which I'll get to afterwards.)
The first one took . . . so long . . . and it had so many layers that Procreate crashed every five seconds, and it had the messiest sketch on the face of the planet, and it was incredibly difficult to line, and my stylus is breaking which makes it cut out in the middle of a paint stroke, and the pose was super hard to draw, and the outfit was really hard because it's so complicated, but. I did it because I love Arisa, and every last second was worth it. All seven hours of it. This is definitely the most complex (or just detailed, or time-consuming, whatever) drawing I've ever done and I've gotta say, I'm super proud of it!
The second one was quicker, and I cut out a lot of the details because I was getting frustrated with how the ruffles looked, but like Tsubame said earlier, this Arisa costume is just so amazing I love it-- (She does look a bit off in this drawing though, which I'm frustrated about--)
And finally a lil' chibi! Who doesn't love chibis--
yes. i took the easy way out and did her school uniform instead of another detailed costume hehehehehehe
And the other thing: I was going to do a cover of Su-Suki Nanka Janai, and I recorded the audio or anything, but a lot of things happened and it got really messed up and I spent hours on it but it just didn't turn out. But that's okay, because I didn't want to share my voice on here anyway, because I sound very young and I'm not great at singing and I was literally shaking when I thought about posting it tonight, before everything went wrong. Plus, I'm an alto, and it was really hard to sing the song. I kept having to go into 'head' voice asdfghjklsdfghjk
Alright, now for the speech.
Arisa is the most amazing character I've ever met in any fandom. At first I didn't really care for her when I was first getting into the Bandori franchise, and instead payed more attention to the 'cute' ones like Kanon and Hagumi (don't worry Arisa, you're adorable. Oops-- don't get mad at me for saying that!) And uhhhh I've said this a billion times but,,,, you know,,,, the voice acting thing,,, (where I got cast as her and then tried to learn more about her so I could figure out how to play her, yada yada, I'm sure you've all heard the story at some point.)
Okay, I'm just going to tell the rest of the story. Most of you have probably heard it, but whatever. This is for Arisa :)
Then, when the Arisa's "Not Bad" Day Off event came out, I completely changed my mind about Arisa. I understood that she was just like me-- a socially awkward girl who doesn't know how to talk to people. Obviously she's so much more than that, but that was a huge starting point for me.
At the time, I wasn't a fan of tsundere characters, but as time went on and I read more of her card stories and the event stories with her in it and all of that stuff, I came to like her tsundere-ness. And, in a way, it's sort of like me. (I'm not grumpy/annoyed and then caring on the inside, I'm more like not-caring on the outside and caring on the inside, which is basically Arisa as well.)
Basically, after the Not Bad Day Off event, she blasted to first place. I always find something new to love about her, whether it's how she sacrifices so much for her friends or her sweet relationship with Kasumi that shows she really does care, like in the anime when Arisa was upset that Kasumi didn't eat lunch with her like they promised.
If I were to continue talking about Arisa, I'd probably have something really really really long, so I'm probably going to cut it off around here. One final word to Arisa:
You are amazing. You are beautiful. You are wonderful. You are Arisa Ichigaya. Keep on being you <3
You've been my best girl for the most time I've known Bandori, and you always will be. I love you to no end possible.
I'll have to admit, you started off as one of my least favourite characters judging from your 'spiciness', but you started climbing not long after then. I think it was during the Rose's Name in a Transient World event on EN when I read your introduction episode, and you said that it's not that bad being in a band. That's when I realized you weren't that bad and was showing your politeness at times.
I started reading the previous event stories during the Popipa Christmas event, starting w/ Sakura Blooming Party. I noticed you were mainly silent during the story, and you then let it all out in the end. I also noticed that none of the other Popipa members were scared of you, they were actually glad you came back to your old self. I was finding it really funny, and that's when you started climbing higher and faster. You were officially one of my favourite characters when the CIRCLING event came (Maya was my best girl at the time).
But then, once Popipa's 2nd Band Story came out, it pretty much changed everything on how I viewed you.
I found out that I relate to you on a high personal level, that you hide your issues to prevent becoming a burden to your friends. You've shown then that you actually cared for Popipa, and your honesty was a huge part in your arc in the story. Instead of blaming on your stress of handling both Popipa and school for how you've acted towards Rimi, you admitted that you were in the wrong, and I noticed how much you wanted to fix that issue. I still wished that you were the other 4* for Double Rainbow, b/c you've shown huge development. I hope to see more of it on Band Story 3 soon :)
And we're back at today. Since then, you've been my absolute favourite character in Bandori. I've seen some people putting you at the bottom of their ranks, saying that you were "conceited and rude", and I'll have them know that they're wrong. Absolutely wrong. You're much more than just a tsundere, and I hope more people'll see that.
Happy Birthday, Arisa! Keep being your sweet and beautiful self, the Tsunderella of your fairy tale, and most importantly, Arisa. Here's for more years to come!
(PS: Please come home on EN again ;-; The only 4* I have of you is your summer card)
We made it! after a whole week of going from one station to the next in less than a day, the Happy party train arrives to its final destination for this month, so let's not waste a minute more and dive right into our last birthday.
Our Honoree today is a lady that a few years back would probably yell at us out of shame just for even think in celebrate her special day...well...even now she probably still will do it but you get the point. A lot of time has pass since we first met that "grumpy" girl whos didn't want to know anything about socialize with other people other than her grandmother and whos only preocupation was take care of her Bonsais, and in this time we were able to watch her break out of her oldself shell, stray away from her comfort zone and ventured into a whole new world.
I'm not gonna lie, during my first months in the franchise our guest today was actually one of my least favourite characters. my first impressions of her were that she was your stereotypical Tsundere but done in a really forced way. But with the pass of the events and specially with the more i knew about her Seiyuu that opinion was gradually until i descover myself calling her my best girl from her band.
But it's getting pretty late so before the day ends let's gather one last time in this month and raise our glasses to wish the best to our lovely vice president of the student council, the "Sweet and Spicy Personality" keyboardist of PoPiPa!
(I originally had a nicer one for Arisa but the link wouldn't work. The link for this one is: https://picrew.me/image_maker/168503)
### Happy birthday, Yukina and Arisa!
