It's been almost two weeks since the last one, but we finally made it fam. The Happy party train arrives to its last stop for this month. So let's jump straight into it.
First things first, let's talk about the elephant in the room. Even if it's something of common knowledge, today's honoree can be, most then surely, one of if not THE most underrated character in the whole franchise. People tends to compare her with another charcter from the original "Love Live!" basing their opinions only in the physichal and one part of her personality, which obviously not only is wrong but also kinda sad. Ok, now that we take care of that let's go with some thing more brighter.
Hagumi's strong points, well...to begin with one, she is Highly sensitive with others and possess a lot of empathy, this makes her being fully aware of when something or someone is going not right and jump at the next second to offer her help uninterested at all time, even if she doesn't know the person.
Next, its development and maturity. Despite the fact that her ease of empathizing is one of her strengths, it is also at the same time one of her worst flaws. And is that, being linked to the world of sports, this together with her desire for everyone to have fun and be Happy, it always made her wonder if it was the best idea to go "all out" in each competition, this issue was perfectly resolved in the event "Tearful Smile Anchor Runner" and showed us the beginning of the development and maturity of our guest (and make of it my favourite event focus on her till this day).
And finally, her joyful and clueless personality. It's no secret that our honoree can be "classified" inside the "Aho/genki" group of characters, i mean, she is in high spirit most of the time and is kinda "brainless", but is precisely that "brainless" aptitude what makes her act in such pure and innocence way and the final point that makes her a very likable character. You are not going to get someone with a deep backstory, nor to find any intrincate/dark past that motivates her (Not even if you belive in the theory about her having a horrible parents). Everything you are going to find in her is a simple girl who loves her friends, cherish every single one of them to the bone and only wants to have fun and spread smiles.
aaand that's about everything i have to say, she maybe not be one of my best girl or be even in my top 3 inside her own band. But i still like her a lot and hopes that some day everyone start to appreciate her more as well because she trully deserve it. But for now, let's raise our glasses as we always do and wish the best to our adorable "croquette girl", the captain of the softball team an bassist of Haro Happy!
