Ciao a tutti! It's Summer Time! Seriously, the long-awaited moment of summer gachas, where you can admire young girls intent on relaxing and having fun on the beach.

Bandtober : Day 21 (Beach Gacha)

Honami appreciates costumes with some frills, but above all she loves diving and discovering the marine world, hoping to find maybe some new creature. Accustomed since she was a child, she has a good ability to stay in apnea for a couple of minutes, she certainly does not lack energy and tenacity.

Delicate as a flower, Lucia also proves to have a body with the right shapes, with a sober swimsuit that brings out her candid soul. Who knows who will be calling with such joy... Maybe a possible summer crush? This is a mystery I will not reveal.

For Mirai, if you say sea you say beach volleyball, you will never find her without a ball in her bag. At first I thought about a swim shorts, but in the end I told myself that a striped bikini would still be fine. Her physique is the most developed among the band members, followed by Honami, thanks to their being members of a sports club, let's put it that way.

At the end of the tour, we have Oriko in a checkered bikini and her princess-of-the-seas aura, she sure has made some trips to Okinawa just to make her childhood friend jealous. You would surely see her sipping a few cocktails on a deck chair, with a pair of designer sunglasses sunbathing, grinning when someone tries to flirt with her as she really enjoys the attention of others.

As I said before, I don't really follow the D4DJ project so I'm not as active in the fanbase, but apparently people don't like Merm4id because they're "hyper-sexualized", but honestly? Unpopular opinion: They're not that sexualized.

For one, they're college students and therefore adults, so them being the more fanservice-y unit isn't as problematic. I saw someone express some worry about the seiyuu, but fear not! All of the Merm4id seiyuu are adults.

Second, their designs could be so much worse. I don't really know how to describe it nor do I want to provide examples, but for lack of a better explanation, they could be wearing the skimpiest swimsuits on the planet as opposed to simply showing off some skin.

Third off, DON'T SLUT-SHAME WOMEN. Like, Jesus. That should be pretty self-explanatory; don't call women slurs like "slut" or "whore". Women have every right to express themselves however they want as long as it's not problematic.

Fourth, I really hope this doesn't erupt into really bad discourse, especially since the activity rules state that discourse is considered a part of harassment/rudeness "at varying degrees", and an example of discourse posting is debate on the sexualization of characters. If D4DJ gets its own site akin to Banpa, I hope the Merm4id discourse won't worsen.

In conclusion, Merm4id doesn't deserve all this hate and I figured I might as well share my thoughts because I genuinely hate discourse and I don't want things to get worse; Banpa is one of the most positive communities I've ever found myself in, and there's little discourse (unlike twitter and sukutomo).

Of course, I'm not saying you have to like Merm4id, and it's okay if you're not comfortable with them. I'm just sharing my opinions, that's all.

first of all, we'll finally get releases of the MV songs for the non-live bands! they'll be sold starting December 9th on a mini album with three different versions, one for each band. the setlist is as follows:

Gin no Yuri / Banzai RIZING! / Hikari no Akuma / the respective band's digital single original (histoire, Joukyou Joutou Ittekimasu, Play with You respectively) / the respective band's lyric MV cover (Yuuwake, HOT LIMIT, ROKI respectively) / the respective band's audio drama from the S-SOL that also comes with the digital singles.

if you buy all three versions together, you'll also get a bonus BD featuring the Destiny Rock festival SOL. I'm not sure if this applies to online shopping; buying Starry Line at CDJapan DID get me the special CD that came with it though, for what it's worth.

no word yet on similar releases for the two live bands, but I could imagine them being bundled together too!

RAISE A SUILEN, Rondo (from D4DJ), and GYROAXIA are all going to be at Bushiroad Rock Festival next February! I hope to god they stream this again because that line-up is a personal attack. not just RAS and Gyro, but also Rondo ... how cruel ...

WEGO collab. yeah I don't really know what else to say about this one, we know how these work from BanDori. seems to be only Ren & Nayuta for now, but this opens the door for a lot more stuff to come!

Argonavis and GYROAXIA nesos have been up for preorder since the 10th. AmiAmi has them up, though only as the box set. they'll be out in March of next year, so if you'd like to get them, you have a bunch of time to save.
