woo i’m now in the teen years!

i’m just going to thank the people in advance who wished me a happy birthday because it means a lot, really!!

so far this community has been a really comforting place for me, it’s nice to be able to come to this place whenever i feel like the world is too much for me to handle. from the funny and creative posts people like Can_I_join_Hello_Happy_World, Chomama and zaynsenpai create (don’t worry there are plenty more), or the amazing artwork people like GummiGum or -ChomamaLi- and salted.candy make (literally every artist on this site are amazing) and just in general all the other cool posts everyone here makes.

it’s really nice to watch this community grow and thrive, i even made one or two friends!! [you guys know who you are ; )] and i’m glad i took part of it, i hope i can be able to contribute something amazing here, or to just make someone even smile here is good enough!

sorry about this awfully long post, maybe i should stop pouring thoughts here, i mean it’s my birthday, and it only comes once a year, i’m gonna go have fun B)

Here's a theory about our little birthday girl demon

Yukina's four most recent 4☆s. Look, I'm indifferent about who gets how many cards because all I care about in the end is how these cards perform in lives and at the end of the day, these cards are just numbers with artwork attached to it. (And let's not mention that in terms of skills, the four Yukina 4☆s before those up there are not good for scoring as Multi leads or for solo teams.) People differ in opinions and that is fine.

BUT.

Should Yukina not have had a DreamFes card? Should Yukina not have been a 4☆ for the Re:Zero collab? Should Yukina not have been a 4☆ for Noble Rose 3 (when she had never been a 4☆ for the previous Noble Rose events and when that event is all about THAT [no spoilers])? Should Yukina, representing the entirety of the real-life Roselia, not have been a 4☆ for the tie-in event for Special☆LIVE Girls Band Party?

If you think about the situation of the past Gachas she's been the 4☆, there is zero way she would not have been the 4☆. She is THE IMAGE GIRL of Roselia, not having her for those times would be insanely disrespectful. There is no avoiding her last four 4☆s.

There has been some stuff on BanPa regarding the imbalance in 4☆ among the girls in Garupa, so I thought I would speak to this issue and show one side of the story:

It is perfectly fine to be disappointed that bushiroad is giving more attention to Yukina and other "mainstream" characters, but they are doing it for a reason. Yukina is the number one character from the number one real-life band, so they were just trying to do it to please their target audience. Because of many people who are angered by the fact that some girls get less attention, bushiroad gave those girls more opportunities (pumped out two Tsugumi 4☆, one Tomoe 4☆, and one Kaoru 4☆ in the past couple of months). I don't think it is fair to Yukina that one would dislike her simply because she is getting more attention, although it makes perfect sense why one would be frustrated that the other girls are not getting the same kind of attention. It takes time but I am sure soon enough all of the 5 OG bands will still have the same amount of 4☆, but it will never be perfect since the game is always growing and changing. I think people should look at the positives of BanG Dream, seeing each new 4☆ as a new opportunity for great stories, beautiful art, and stunning costumes, not as another disappointment in hopes of one of the more "neglected" girls not getting the representation you want. Altogether, it is not fair to base your opinions off of simply how mainstream/popular a character is, it is best to take into consideration their character design, interests, personality, and roll in band to determine who really is your best girl.
