Poppin' Party Appreciation post

This started as a reply to this post, but I started putting so may things, that I figured I should just make it into a post, so here you have it:

There's lots of things I love about Poppin Party. For example, I love how they are just a bunch of normal high school girls who became friends and formed a band. They are just normal people, and they could be anyone. They could even be someone like you or like me or any kind of person.

When comparing their stories with the other bands's stories, they don't really have that much depth, But that is what I find so endearing about them. Their simplicity feels really great and it shows that you don't need depth to be good.

They are the main band, and that is something you can instantlly tell , but it doesn't feel too overwhelming or annoying, which is not something that can be said for every series.

Their songs are very good. They're my favourites, and becausw they are the main band, that means we get lots of songs from them, so that means more good music. Some of my favourites have to be:

• Teardrops, which despite having a long beatmap and those infamous death sliders, it still isn't enough to not let me love that song, because it is filled with so much power, and the song absolutely rocks.

• Time Lapse is also an example of a beatmap with infamous sliders, but not as much as Teardrops, and the song is an absolute BOP and it's really great. Tae really slays that guitar in this song too.

• B.O.F is also extremely good, and we get to hear Tae singing with Kasumi and it's just SO GOOD.

• And last, but certainly not least, we have Light Delight, which is my faveourite bandori song ever. The song is so calming and yet it's also so powerful, and the lyrics are amazing, you should read them. And I epecially love that part near the end of the full version where everyone has a solo line.

The characters have to be one of my favourite aspects of this band. They all seem very generic at first, but they always deliver a little something that makes them feel especial and unique.:

• Kasumi is a very energetic girl and her happiness is really contagious, but we see that she struggles sometimes and despite always being so determiend to reach her goals, we can see her wanting to give up. But, of course, her bandmates are always there to support her, and she becomes an unsoppable force when she's with everyone.

• Tae looks like your typical cool and strict girl, but she's actually a big dork and an even bigger airhead. She also love rabbits so much, but also loves her bandmates a lot too. She used to be alone, but after meeting Kasumi, and later Arisa and Rimi, she started to make friends, and she instantly felt comfortable arround all of them,and honestly, that part of the anime is so cute and heartwarming. I also see myself a lot in her and that just makes me love her even more.

• Rimi is a very cute, pure and shy girl, with a very big love for chocolate, who is very underrated by the community. She's got so much more than that. She's, surprisingly, the horror genere fan, which is something very overlooked by people, and she also has problems with her self esteem. She always thinks her bass playing is bad, which is why she is such a hard worker, because she doesnt want to be a burden to everyone else. But she is actually the second most experienced member of Poppin Party, after Tae who played since she was little, and she also writes the amizing songs that this band has. All of her bandmates always make sure to tell her that she isn't bad despite what she thinks and I love seeing this wholesome content. Besides, her interactions with her bandmates are really pure. She's so patient with Kasumi and Tae, she's very sweet to Arisa, and Arisacan't really get angry at Rimi, and she's so comfortable arround Saaya, since she has that mom aura. All of these interactions are my favourites. They are just so heartwarming, and I know I might be overusing this word, but it's just how it is.

• Saaya is the mom friend of the band, and a very kindhearted girl, who is also too selfless. She stopped playing with her previous band because she didn't want her mom to overwork herself, but ended up deniying herself from her social life, and it wasn't until she met Kasumi that she could push herself to have time for herself too.

• Arisa is your typical tsundere, who always dennies her true feelings, and can say some harsh things, but she really loves her bandmates a lot and really cherishes them, and she would do anything for her band, even if she dennies dong it. She used to be a shut in without friends, and she always skipped school, but she slowly started to scialize step by step, and now she's got 4 wonderful friends, who she would do anything for.

Their dynamic between all of them is the most pure and wholesome of all the bands, and everyone can rely on their bandmates to be there for them when they have problems.

They are just such a good band, they deserve so much more than what they get,and it makes me so sad to see how underapreiated it is. It is alwyas beeing overlooked as your typical and generic main band, and I really wish people could look at what they do and stop sleeping on them.
