(i have decided to make an awards show for the best cards of the season. i might make more of these in the future dreamfests if people like this. well see. im DEFINITELY not making this because ill go nuts if i dont take a break from tiering and have adhd WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT. im going to be marking the non-dreamfest categories by events that've taken place very recently, I think in the past month.)

While my Tomoe bias might cause me to think the Tomoe is BETTER, The Chisato is truly art. I first laid eyes on it around 60 seconds ago and I'm already in love. The camerawork and color scheme take it for me.

Yeah, I knew I loved this card the second I saw it. I think a part of me was just WAITING to talk about it. the contrast between her beautifully-styled cyan hair and green eyes with the striking red, while and green on the dress, with the background containing the tree, presents, and a reindeer decoration, and the ROSE PETALS IN THE GLASS SHE'S HOLDING- In my opinion, the best card in the set.

Yeah, Rinko takes it. The candle and the outfit, as well as her shading, are what make her REALLY stand out from the crowd for me.

I almost feel bad. I really didn't think I liked Roselia Christmas that much, and I DIDN'T, I mean I LIKED it but didn't LOVE it. However, the way the entire band is gathered around in Ako's card, through the window, playing games, in the warm lighting, all looking so happy... it gives me that same warmth as listening to old-timey Christmas songs while drinking hot chocolate by a warm fireplace, which is the only lighting for the giant Christmas tree... I can't really DESCRIBE it. Just... magic. I'm willing to hear the argument that Lisa got robbed, and that CHU2's new card got snubbed for the nominee's list entirely (it was #5, trust me), but these are the Festys®. Don't ask questions.

Well, let me just start off by saying, all the nominees have done AMAZING work in the past month. These are all gorgeous cards in their own way. LOCK'S card has a FANTASTIC use of bright colors and combines different art styles in a way that hasn't been done so seemlessly since AKO'S DFv2 IN JULY OF THE YEAR BEFORE. Lisa's card has an absolutely jaw-droppingly GORGEOUS color and lighting scheme, and is the most mature she's EVER looked while miraculously not also being sexualized. Arisa's card is the absolutely perfect balance of maintaining subtlety and bringing things to your attention with how much is going on in both the background and foreground with the border decorating, and the Nanami card captures her personality in a way only a select few DFv2 cards have. While it looks like it's TRYING to be your standard beautiful DFv2 card, Nanami's weird personality can't help shine through with the paint splatters, clashing classiness and creativity perfectly. Any of these cards could win. But only one can.
...And only 1 was ever going to.

Her expression. Her pose. Her outfit. Her hair. The clutter of makeup, perfume, letters, roses, playing cards, and balloons over the checkered and rose-patterned floor. All of it. FANTASTIC. The glasses in her hand are a real standout, too. It's an AMAZING card. Congratulations to all the nominees, but Lisa's won.
THAT'S ALL FOR THE FESTYS! It's amazing how much time this took, as well as what tiering, chocolate, and ADHD can do to my brain. I really took out the time to not only link every single card nominated, but also create COVER ART lmao. See ya'll soon! Seriously, let me know if I should continue doing these. This WAS really fun though! Happy New Year's!!

Reading Title Idol story and for the first time in my whole bandori life, I agree with Chisato on something omg kdsbdkdjd. I don't know if it's because I'm a kpop fan and I've been seeing the company of my favorite groups use the old groups to bring more fans to their newest group (and forgetting about the old groups) but I understand Chisato's feelings and I think is 100% valid. I know they have to be the oldest group and take care of the youngest, but when the company can't even make a debut song for the new group is kinda....... I also didn't like that Aya's usual silly side made them look "better/mature" because I'm too much of a protective Aya fan
EDIT: I'M STILL READING THE STORY SO I'LL BE UPDATING THIS BECAUSE I'M TOO EXCITED.

EVE X AYA SCENE!!!!!!!!!! I LIVE. I LOVE THEIR RELATIONSHIP SO MUCH BUT WE RARELY GET THOSE MOMENTS FROM THEM (pasupare has a lot of maya x eve, ayachisa, ayahina and maya x hina moments so i think eve x aya gets behind a little bit
(ok, now i have to play a little bit more because I only had 10 chapters unlocked)
ALL CHAPTERS UNLOCKED AND READ! (and I also slept because it was 2am when I finished reading everything and I was exhausted)
The story resolution didn't sit well with me because it's not deeply explored (also for person reasons, that thing I said about my favorite kpop group being forgotten and used by the company to promote their newest group). It's very pasupare and bandori-ish because you guys know that they don't make bigger conflicts or more complex stories, it's mostly "conflict with happy ending and a little bit unrealistic and naive but since is for teens/children, is okay". I won't say much about it because I know that's how Bandori is so there's no reason to waste time. But I loved the subject choice!! I think that was important to Pasupare story. Seeing all of them actuallsy scared of it, not only Aya and Chisato, was a really good thing.
ALL THE EVE X AYA MOMENTS WERE PERFECT!!!!! Pasupare BS4 has to be Eve x Aya banner or else i'm suing Bushiroad/Craft Egg. We (me) deserve to see more of their relationship, I'll not accept another Aya x Chisato band story banner . not because I hate ayachisa, but because I think we have too many aya x chisato events/interactions and we KNOW how precious Chisato is for her, but what about the others? I was kind disappointed that even though the banner is Maya x Aya, we didn't see a lot of moments with them together, I wanted to see them helping each other out of that conflict, you know? BUT, thanks to that, I got Eve x Aya moments, so it's okay.
I was not touched by this story how I expected to tho :( It's a shame.
NOW, PLEASE, ALLOW ME TO CRY A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT SAYOAYA.
MISS HIKAWA SAYO HEARD ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO PASUPARE AND HER FIRST THOUGHT WAS "MARUYAMA MUST BE FEELING REALLY BAD WITH ALL OF THIS". PEAK GIRLFRIEND BEHAVIOR, ME THINKS.
AND I DIDN'T SEE THE AYA BRITHDAY CONVERSATION BEFORE DOING THIS POST, SO IMAGINE MY HAPPINESS WHEN I SAW IT WAS WITH SAYO. I'M BEING WELL FED. THANK YOU FOR THIS BANDORI.
OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT: THIS SCENE WAS THE CLOSEST I FELT FROM CRYING IN THIS STORY BECAUSE !!!!! HOW COULD I NOT??? AYUMI IS A PASUPARE FAN, AYA FAN, AND KEEPS SUPORTING THEM UNTIL NOW. I CAN'T EXPLAIN BUT I FEEL SO HAPPY AND PROUD OF AYA SIJHICKSSHD.
the last thing I have to comment about this story is that I'm disappointed that the original BS cards are not as vivid (no pun intended) as the trained images scene at the end of the story. I don't know if my glasses are that old or it does really looks different, but I like the band story version the most and that's exactly the reason why I didn't like the card. I've always thought that the card art was lacking some, now I know it lacks a little bit of pigmentation.
COMING BACK HERE BECAUSE NIKORIN MADE ME REMEMBER SOMETHING I WANTED TO SAY BUT I FORGOT AFTER I FEEL ASLEEP:
I'm 100% sure that Pasupare would keep up as a group and having solo activities as adults too. Same for RAS and Roselia. These 3 groups are the only ones I can actually see going pro as adults. According to Nikorin (because I do not read Afterglow stories), there's 80% of chance that Afterglow might want to go pro in the future. But as for Popipa, HHW and Morfonica, I don't see it. Morfonica especially basing on their own name meaning, I think that the band would be a high school thing only to help them to become confident, stronger, etc... Because I can see Rui returning to the stages as a pro violinist thanks to the girls (don't know if that happened in BS2 because I haven't seen any resumes), Touko might pursue stylist career, Nanami could stop hiding her own skills and feel proud of herself, Mashiro and Tsukushi could become more confident and responsible, while also realizing what they want to do in the future... They could stay as Morfonica as a hobby tho.
As for Pasupare, they would stay the same, but maybe with a little bit more of solo activities. Eve could become a even more requested idol, Chisato become a big name in the acting industry, Aya would have her own programs and even solo singing career, Maya and Hina, I think thay would study and specialize in something else they like (Maya we all know what, Hina is a mystery).
From RAS and Roselia, I can only see Lisa, Rinko, Pareo and Masking doing something other than music-related, but while they conciliate their band work with their studies. I MEAN, MASKING WOULD ABSOLUTELY STUDY CONFECTIONERY/PASTRY, YOU CAN'T CHANGE MY MIND.
HHW is that one band I'm 100% sure that would never go pro in the future. They might keep it as a hobby and perform in places like amusement park and hospitals twice a month because their goal always was "Make the World Smile", but individually they will follow different paths. Kaoru will pursue acting career, we all know. Hagumi could be a professional athlete, Kanon I can see as a biologist tbh, and Misaki I don't know, but I'm sure that thanks to HHW she will find something she wants to do and not simply get into college to have a stable job in the future, she will find something she likes to do and will follow this dream. Kokoro... I have no idea, seriously.
Popipa... I can't explain but I just can't see them going pro. Right, that doesn't seem like even an option?? Correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't read their stories either. They might keep up as a hobby, like, each of them goes to college but gather every week to play together (very Hospital Playlist-ish).
I'm talking about this because Title Idol, Roselia BS3 and One of Us brought this topic and some Pasupare/Roselia/HHW members are 3rd years already so, if Bandori simply doesn't pretend that high school never ends, then, we will be seeing their graduation soon and we have to know about what is coming for their future...
Overall, I enjoyed this story so much. It's been a while since I actually felt this urge to read a bandori story (on endori, because for jpdori I almost cried reading HHW Halloween event).
Sorry for this long weird post and thank you to everyone that beared (?) with it kushdcjkus.
Now, I have to go back to my suffering because I choose the worst event possible to tier and I might give up halfway because if playing from the moment it started (10pm in my country) until 2am and I only got to 212, I'm not that excited to try staying in t500 for 17 days, especially because I also play JPdori and SIFAS.
