Bandtober : Day 10 (Band Practice)

[A Saturday afternoon - Ayaka's House]

• Mirai: "Of course, every time I come here, I am always amazed by the immensity of this house, it almost feels like Koneko's."
• Oriko: "With a big difference between the two, this is ancient and traditional."
• Honami: "You two never stop teasing each other, no matter where we have rehearsals, whether it's here or at the CiRCLE you're always arguing about something."
• Lucia: "Come on, Honami, there's no need to be so hard on them."
• Ayaka: "Kara is right, leave them alone, rather what did you think about the song?"
• Lucia: "Not bad, but the tempo of this piece seemed too slow to me, maybe we should speed it up a bit? What are you saying, leader?"
• Honami: "Yes, it would be better, so Mirai too could make some impact with a more within her reach."
• Ayaka: "It might actually work. Hey, Mirai-chan, would you like to try something?"

• Oriko: "Not bad."
• Honami: "You were right, Lucia, we just needed something like that."
• Lucia: "You can feel all the power of Mirai's energy, as well as the impact it can give you when you listen to it."
• Mirai: "Can I say it was a blast?! I had a blast and I didn't think it was so different from before!"
• Oriko: "I felt it too, it was interesting, I admit."
• Ayaka: "So we will definitely impress with this, hoping that people like my voice..."
• Honami: "Still with this story? I already told you that you don't have to worry, if Marina-san asked us to attend their events with the other bands, there must be a reason, right?"
• Ayaka: "I know, I just don't feel safe, what if we get it wrong something?"
• Lucia: "We try so hard also for this reason, but I can understand your thoughts, I also happen to feel helpless during concerts, even if I don't show it."
• Mirai: "I like your voice so much, Tan-chan-senpai! You don't have to get down!"
• Oriko: "I agree with Doggo-chan. You have a unique voice that somehow manages to touch the right chords in someone's soul."

Bandtober : Day 11 (First Show)

[Debut Day - Entrance of the CiRCLE]

• Marina: "Well, everything is settled here, your instruments have already been placed on the stage. When you are ready, talk to the staff."
• Honami: "Thanks again, Tsukishima-san, without your help we wouldn't have succeeded in today's feat."
• Marina: "That's okay, it's always nice to see the souls of young girls like you burning with passion, it reminds me a lot when I was young. And anyway, call me Marina, there's no need to be so formal with me, the others girls from many bands do it."
• Honami: "I understand, then I'm going to see how my companions are doing, see you later... and thanks, Marina-san, for the opportunity."

(Finished talking to the woman, the young Takamine headed to backstage, where she noticed in the distance her cousin sitting in a corner, curled up on herself, with Lucia sitting on her heels stroking her back. In the other corner instead standing were the two newcomers talking, feeling the air around them almost electric, but she could understand: she too was feeling elated.)

• Honami: "Ayaka, is everything okay?"
• Ayaka: "I can't do it... The stress is too much to bear for me..."
• Lucia: "Come on, don't worry, everything will be fine. We have been training every day since we decided to do it."
• Ayaka: "But two weeks is just too short for such a concert like this!"
• Honami: "You have to be calm, we don't have that many songs in our repertoire, besides they are just covers... in practice you will only have to sing two songs out of three, since one is a duet of Lucia and me."

(She too squatted down and stroked her head, smiling faintly as she exchanged quick glances at her best friend, looking mildly at the familiar's flushed face and shining eyes on the verge of tears.)

• Lucia: "Come on, I'm sure that once you get on stage and start singing, you will lose track of space and time."
• Honami: "Then if I'm not mistaken we don't have who knows what audience, apart from our closest friends and Oriko's family, since we are holding this concert for her, as well as for ourselves to debut."
• Ayaka: "Right... if Mocacchin saw me with this face she would surely give me some strong pat on the back, without considering that I would worry Ako-chan and Rin-san if I went out in this pitiful state..."
• Lucia: "Don't say that. Being scared is normal, after all it's a huge step what you are, indeed, we are doing, but we are together and we will overcome this obstacle together."
• Ayaka: "Lucia... Honami... You're right, I can't keep running away, I have to be able to overcome my fears... I'm ready!"

(As she got help getting to her feet, Oriko and Mirai were facing each other on the other side, more or less.)

• Oriko: "What should I do if in the end my mother doesn't accept my decision? I... I don't want to part with you... I enjoy being with the senpai and spending every day discovering new things, now that there it's you too, the days have become more lively and I don't want this to end... "
• Mirai: "So take courage and show your mother what you're made of, don't let her take control of your life: show her you're a tough girl!"

(She went up to her and hugged her with her arms, once she saw the other turn her back to her, resting the chin on her friend's golden head who was amazed by the gesture.)

• Oriko: "Mirai?"
• Mirai: "You will also be a hothead and you will drive me out of my mind every time you provoke me, I wasn't even interested joining a band with you, yet the days spent with you and the senpai made me understand how funny it is. I am passionate about it and I would like our days to continue like this forever, but you must be there too, otherwise who could I let off steam with if you are not there?"
• Oriko: "You're such an idiot... Doggo-chan..."

(The young Wazawai squeezed each other's hands hard, laughing weakly with her and then loosening the embrace when they saw the older girls join them.)

• Honami: "I would say our time has come, are you ready?"

(All of them nodded at the same time, the leader did the same and walked with them towards the stage where the moment of glory and truth they had long awaited awaited them: they would be able to overcome that immense obstacle and finally become a band to all effects?)

[After the concert - under the CiRCLE stage]

• Ayaka: "Ah... It's finally over... I thought my heart was going to explode when the lights went down on me."
• Honami: "Well, we did everything we could, but it was an unexpected success... Of course all the members of Poppin'Party this time too, and not just them, started to have tears in their eyes when me and Lucia sang again Magnet ..."
• Lucia: "What can I say? We see that we are harmoniously in tune and we transmit the message better."
• Ayaka: "Actually she's not completely wrong... even if at that moment I felt excluded..."
• Honami: "It was just the first song, we gave you time to calm down and warm up the audience for the big show, as you may have noticed Kaoru herself was fascinated and speechless when you started singing."
• Ayaka:* "Did Kaoru-sama really have that reaction too? I practically heard Ako-chan scream all the time like crazy going to our rhythm... and how can I blame her? After all we sang Roselia's -HEROIC ADVENT- they kindly allowed us to use it... "
• Honami: "See? In the end it was all in your head."
• Lucia: "Let's just hope that with Rivers in the desert we were able to change the heart of Oriko's mother... I'm worried about her, in the end it was I who invited her to join us."
• Ayaka: "I also hope everything went well... She's talking to her mother right now..."
• Mirai: "I'm sure it was a success, tomorrow she will surely tell us everything, if you don't mind now I'm going to my brothers who are waiting for me. See you!"
• Lucia: "Well, I would say that we have done our duty. Let's go and get our merits, the others are waiting for us."

(Eventually, they learned that Oriko's mother understood the situation and accepted the fact that her daughter wanted to be part of the band, provided that, once she graduated, she would keep her oath to accept the combined marriage. So TIERGEIST started their career as musicians.)

BANDTOBER // LEADERS

hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a great time either making or reading the bandtober posts— I know I am! since I have horrible stamina, motivation, and attention span, I’ve decided to do bandtober a little differently to fit my tastes. once I finish each member, I’ll make a post with them, and perhaps a few other days or a band story, but not all 30 days. hope you enjoy!

SAWA

• Position: vocalist, leader

• Birthday: January 11 (Capricorn)
• Sawa is the put together, talented, and determined leader of Chameleon. She looks to the future with a drive and motivation that is often difficult to disclose to her members. Sawa started her band to become a competitor to Sum1, enlisting her fellow classmates as help. She seems to have strong negative feelings towards the drummer of the other group, Nao, but refuses to speak about why. However much she can seem strict, she tries to account for her members struggles, as she was not always as skilled as she is now.

• Position: drums, leader
• Year: Third
• Birthday: April 27 (Taurus)
• Nao is known for being a personable, humble, and laid back leader. Her band members respect her greatly, and many speculate that this is a large reason for their incredible cohesion and teamwork onstage. Though she is the only member of her band who doesn’t sing, her drumming skill is unrivaled in the industry. Many labels are attempting to get their hands on a deal with Sum1, but Nao’s reluctance and preoccupation with a familiar face arising in the band scene mix to form a complication for the young group.

Why I love Hina Hikawa. An Essay.

No, I’ll actually try to keep this short and sweet. I could wax poetic about my best girls forever but honestly that takes forever and I just wanna show some love already. So~ my best girl! My list tends to shuffle around for a variety of reasons but my first and long-standing best girl is the lovely mint chocolate chip colored sweetie: Hina Hikawa!

And no. I don’t mean that as an insult. Bare with me! When I was little, I was…strange, to say the least. I didn’t really speak or react too much. I just wanted to be alone with a book that probably should have been for kids triple my age. I couldn’t handle a lot of stimuli, couldn’t read people properly. It was a mess. Autism was (and mostly still is) uncharted territory, so when I was smacked with the label, no one around knew what to do. Life for awhile was constant classes in social etiquette, devouring so many new things, trying this whole “fitting in” thing, failing and getting back up in time to pretend to do it all again the “right” way with the kids my age.

Hina to me is that side of me that I tried to leave behind all those years ago. The me that I tried to forget about for awhile, but still is a big part of me: a person who doesn’t quite understands social cues even after “training” but finds people fascinating, the person who picks up new hobbies, accidentally turns into a savant and then becoming bored by a lot of them. I could go on but I think you get the point. When I first started reading Hina’s interactions I immediately saw myself, and I really wanted to hate her like the other players I knew about…but I immediately fell in love. It gave me a little bubble of happiness to see someone like I was (although I doubt it’ll be explicitly said), one of the many MANY forms of Autism.

Especially her interactions with Aya (who is up there as the best girl too) in the main Pastel Palettes story! It took me back to some- looking back on it- cringey conversations with “normal” or “neurotypical” people. Especially when I finally got the hang of just talking to people, but not the hang of understanding what not to say to do things like: cheer people up. Usually, characters that seem to be autistic coded (think like Sheldon from Big Bang theory, Newt Scamander from the Fantastic beast, etc.) can come across as more abrasive than they really mean to, more oddballs who just refuse to conform as opposed to people who are just hardwired differently. But Hina hits this sweet spot of having “quirks” but still being shown to have a good heart. She loves her band, and doesn’t want to see it fall apart! Hina admires Aya for her combat-ness (is that a word? I can’t think of another word for her), Chisato for her attitude, Maya for her intelligence and Eve…well I still don’t get Eve but Hina and I love her too!

I love that we share a serious sweet tooth, and hate flavorless foods! And tofu! Like I said, I know it’s not Canon, but I like that that part of autism is shown: the texture/flavor thing. Usually, people with autism are extremely sensitive to such things and I just don’t see that used in character that much. I might be reading way too much into these things but autistic girls are usually left to the wayside, and seeing even little traits like having texture issues or even the Boppity thing and such just makes my little heart sing! I know it’s a weirdly translated onomatopoeia, but I know so many autistic friends that do things like that~ I remember when I was younger I would talk just like Hina! I might do it now, but if I do, I have no flipping idea. Hehe~ I don’t even know if this is coherent anymore~ but long story short: I love this babe so much! My first 4-star, speaker of some of my favorite lines, wearer of some of my fav outfits…I think Hina will always hold a special space in my heart, even if I become a traitor and switch around my list.

EDIT: Also freaking~look at her cute face and tell me to MY face that this little blueberry isn't cute af? I want more cards of her!

-Also: She supports her sister no matter what?!?? Like, she watches all of Roselia's proformances~ in disguise! Which we all know is Hina in sunglasses and a sick hat.

Our guest judges for the design/artist section of the contest were Misha, co-creator of Vocaloid Ruby -- Atychi, a fan-artist who knows who to hit you in the feels -- and, Andy, another fan of BanG Dream! whose fan art is cute and their love for HHW knows no bounds.

Misha's comment for the winning design was as follows, "This design has a very precious feeling to it, and fits right into the bang dream universe! I love the star motif, and all the colors work perfectly together. Overall, it's a very well coordinated design!"

The staff overall had thought the design fit the theme of Bandori.Party, as well as incorporated great details like the music staff into her sash, as well as kept the BanG Dream! thematic in together as a whole and gave us a really good package!

ANNOUNCING ARGONAVIS

An Exciting New Chapter for BanG Dream!

Announced shortly before the beginning of the 5th Live at Makuhari Messe Hall, the project for a "Male-Centric" universe of BanG Dream! had been revealed by announcing their very first live!

The announcement tweet gained much traction after the initial retweet from us at Bandori.Party! At this time, the only information that had been given was the announcement of 3 Cast Members: Maeda Seiji, Morishima Shuuta, and Hyuuga Daisuke, and that their first live will take place in the month of July, with more cast members to be announced. See the 3 Seiyuu introduce the project in this video!

After about an hour or so of comments of fans of the franchise worried about the interaction of the male characters with the girls from a series called "Girls Band Party", Kidani, who manages the franchise and is it's creator, sent a series of tweets to calm fans:

"The Male Bandori Project is a different world than the existing Bang Dream story. The characters will not mix and it is 100% different." Original Tweet

guess who forgot about this place again 🤡 i'm not continuing the 31 day challenge bc i'm gonna forget but i'll be more active on here i promise ;-;

Jeez I just woke up and so much is happening!

First, the Sasanqua event is so sad and sweet at the same time and i did cry. Very wholesome story, and you should watch it whenever you have the time.

Second, there's a new HHW collab starting on the 31st, so I'm gonna try to make predictions for that on. The 4s are probably Kokoro and Hagumi; Kokoro because the leaders are always part of the collabs and Hagumi because her last one was the softball one. The 3s are a little harder to guess because none of them have been featured in any gachas, though I think Misaki will be the 3*. I think that the type will be powerful because we haven't had on in a little bit (also HHW powerful when?) but every other collab in bandori has been a cool type and I don't want that trend to end yet, even though we just had a cool gacha.

As always, I have to insert 2 days, the usual commitments, however, divided into two different posts... after all the track for today concerns a topic that must be treated separately, so I will publish it in a few hours, in the meantime I leave you with the post I should have put yesterday.

Bandtober : Day 22 (Instrument Swap)

This is a really nice question, even quite complicated, albeit relatively, since I already have half an idea for all of them:

Ayaka for her shy character, certainly would prefer to play something that allows her to stay on the sidelines and that gives her a secondary role, so she would opt for the bass.

Honami is a girl with a thousand resources, so she wouldn't change much and would devote herself to playing the drums considering her sporty nature and vent her stresses like that.

Lucia has always given me the impression of an aristocrat and consequently at the beginning her instrument had to be the keyboard, precisely because (like Oriko) she would have learned to play the piano as a child, so her basic instrument would have been discounted.

Mirai, on the other hand, is a girl who, rather than using her fingers in any other way if not to use the sticks, prefers to be the vocalist and demonstrate her prodigious voice that would make limbs vibrate.

Oriko has always been skilled with her hands instead, to the detriment of her childhood friend, and would try her hand at playing the guitar to be able to earn spectacular solos and draw attention to herself.
