4Gamer played a bit of AAside with Felix's CV Lansbury Arthur and the game director Yoshiaki-san on their 4GamerLive event!
first of all, this is just the generic story summary from the website, but I don't think I've ever translated it, so might as well (the part about when it's set is new though, I believe):
*The story takes place half a year after the story of the anime from April 2020.
The “Live Royal Fes” chose the best amateur bands in order to find the next generation’s star. The general winner is promised a ticket to the world stage. However, the defeated bands are not allowed to participate and set their eyes on the world stage again—
On the stage, five bands with a longing for the world and resolution within their hearts are gathered.
You are a roadie who supports the bands, helping them win their once-in-a-lifetime chance in Tokyo and fighting alongside them. The “decisions” each of these young men make, risking the springtime of their youth, draw near.
Such begins the multi-protagonist story in which hopes and failures as well as destiny become intertwined.*
they talked a bit about the stuff we already knew from previous articles and such, which isn't really all that important, lol.
then they played the game for a bit! they showed off Argonavis's sharehouse (which, by the way, the background music is super cute and I love it) and the quest function! they all have cute voice lines when you send them off (Ren's was "understood! I'll try to do my best!", Banri's was, "[cute elongated haaaaai], I'm off!", Wataru's was "alright then, I'm off"). but the most important part is PON-CHAN WAS SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR. BBY BOY. BBY
Ren & Wataru were sent to university, where they were in the ... cafeteria? dining hall? anyway Kouhei & Nayuta were also there, and Ren & Nayuta had an area conversation together which they unfortunately did not show (all we have is the little speech bubble over Ren going "ah, Nayuta-kun!"). Wataru & Kouhei also had one, but theirs didn't seem to be new.
the world map looks a LOT like BanDori's lol, little square rooms and conversation indicators and all. it's very cute. you can go to the boys you've selected for quests by tapping their icon as well as by just looking at the world map. when you've finished with a quest, you get a little item screen where you see what you've got from it, and the character level increases. perhaps even better, they get all sparkly and :D when they're done. it's CUTE
then they showed a story scene from Argonavis and GYROAXIA!
Argonavis was talking about their starting live and the problems that they would have to face from now on. the 3D models look SO GOOD everyone looks so floofy I love it ... also, [ren voice] ahahaha VERY CUTE. I LOVE HE. then they talked about housework (Ren was wondering if he could do it, bby boy, and Yuu was just like "it's gonna work out somehow" lol. but everyone is very sweet and Rio told Ren he could ask about anything he didn't know. Ren rly is the baby of this group pff)
then Yuu, Wataru, & Ren were cooking together, though Ren was. well. not really good at it ghdlgh he almost hurt himself using a knife lol and Wataru didn't seem to keen on the whole thing either pff. Yuuto seems to know what he's doing, though.
next up is Gyro, and of course we start with Reon and Nayuta fighting. because of course. everyone else tries to calm them down, and eventually they take a 5min break. (can I just say that both Nayuta and Reon look super cute though. they're so cute. I love they). this scene ... sounds very familiar, I think this is the first part of their band story which they showed off on the King of the World stream?
the next scene is Nayuta in a burger shop of all places, monologuing about having to go further, as he does. it's a very short scene before it cuts off, I could easily believe he's gonna run into someone there (Ren? location checks out) and they didn't wanna show that.
"ever since coming here, my condition is ..." or it could also be "tune / rhythm", something like that. something is Off, that's the point.
they then played the rhythm section for Goal Line! the beatmaps all look rly fun, and most of what they've shown so far iirc has all been Normal mode. can't wait for EX!
they showed off the function where you can swap out the members for the MV, too!

something of note here is that FELIX's movements are WAY different from Ren's. looks like their performances are based on their personality?? that would be really cool!
