30 days challenge by okusawamiikun || DAY XVII - FAVOURITE EVENT

there was a lot to pick from, but in the end, my favourite event is still this one!

I just love how the writers treat Rinko and her friends in it. Rinko in general has some of the best writing I’ve ever seen in a shy / socially anxious character like her, slowly taking steps forward at her own pace, and this event just emphasises how everyone supports her. my favourite scene has got to be the one where they’re picking out swimsuits and Ako is getting hyped up and kind of forcing Rinko into it (with no malice, of course) and Lisa notices that Rinko’s feeling uncomfortable and gently reminds Ako not to push her, which she immediately realises and apologises for, it’s such a wonderful moment.

I’m so proud of Rinko at all times ... and this is such a fun character combination too, with Himari and Aya in the mix. bless

shoutout to Hello, My Happy World for making me get emotional from its title alone. Misaki has come so far, too

Chapter 5 of the event story where Kaoru finds the Michelle suit in the storage closet and she and Hagumi are like “JESUS FUCK, WHAT’S WRONG WITH MY BABY!!!???”, Misaki is doing damage control and Tomoe is just standing there like “Nani the fuck bro?” gives me the kind of unexplainable joy that can only be explained in a high-end Broadway musical.
