On seeing Morfonica’s designs and intros I was reminded of my fanband Velvet Vista (who you can read about here!). Maybe I just wanna draw the Monica girls and maybe I wanna dig my OCs out of storage too so why not sketch em together . . .
Starting with these three bc it makes sense. Bandori didn’t have a shy vocalist till Monica (bar Ran who is shy but also kuudere and not the type I mean) so a while back I made one, Tomomi! She is internally panicking but still managing to be cute and now she and Mashiro can be friends
Design-wise Mashiro immediately made me think of my bassist Kuuki (she plays the double bass and now we have a violin, time for her to bond with Rui over orchestral stringed instruments). Like Mashiro, Kuuki is also someone who gets lost in her imagination as her bio says, tho she's more of an oddball. Coincidences hmm
