Onwards to day three, today featuring Tricyrtis’s airhead of a guitarist, Yumeru Mizukawa! Also known as Yume, a nickname initially coined by... Kaida? Natsumi? No one actually knows which one started it, but they both call her that.

She’s a pretty crucial part of putting the band together, and the band sure wouldn’t have Kaida in it without her! Or Alice, either. Or the band just wouldn’t exist. Yumeru is pretty important in forming the band. She’s also a rather talented musician, and regularly helps out with composing the music for the band’s songs.

While her memory for music is incredibly tight, if she doesn’t enjoy doing something or have a method to help her pay attention, she’s prone to forgetting it entirely. On her own she’s a bit bad at school due to being so forgetful, but with the help of her friends that’s significantly less of a problem. But it isn’t that uncommon for her to forget little details frequently anyway.

To no one’s surprise, she’s very energetic, although also rather impulsive. She quite often follows random ideas, most to no success. To slow down her own ideas, she took up a handful of time consuming hobbies, although she’s only really stuck with two things, guitar and fashion design. Pretty much every accessory she wears was something she made herself! She also did the majority of the costume designing for the band, although she didn’t actually make them herself. She just did a lot of the work to design them, of course with the input of her bandmates during the process.

Her energy only seems to multiply around Natsumi, so unless you’re ready to deal with two very energetic girls, you’re best off avoiding when it’s just the two of them together. There’s no real danger in it, of course, but they can be pretty overwhelming if you’re not prepared for it.

Also, she just really likes fish! She owns three goldfish herself, but thinks most types of fish are just really cool.

For today’s fun fact(s): she was the last member of the band to be designed, and is also loosely based on my pet goldfish and her weirdness. And thanks to Kaiton in helping to name her back when I was still creating the band!

Alright! I’m kinda late to finishing this and getting a good picture buuuuut~ welcome to the start of my bandtober posts! While I have two oc bands, one is a whole lot less developed as a band than the other. So we’re doing the much more solidly developed one...

Tricyrtis

At first glance, they don’t seem like a very coherent group. There’s a lot of contrasting personalities, and they formed through a bunch of coincidental friendships and skills! Yet there’s one thing that ties them all together: a passion for performing music. As friends, they’re certainly a confusing group, but as a band, they come together to pull off something almost magical.

Anyway yeah, that’s a bit of a dramatic introduction, huh? I’ll be getting into the character details with each of their days over the next few days (or with Alice, it’ll be later today), but I hope y’all will be excited to learn more about them! It’s a little bit of a mess, I need to remake it honestly, but I hope it works for now :D and if you want to read the start of their band story, it’s linked towards the bottom of the document! I kinda skipped drawing any instruments because guitars are hard to draw (they were the only thing I even considered adding in) and I knew it would make an already long process even longer if I did them so... maybe in the future but not now.

And now for the random fact about the band for the day (I’ll try to do these because I have a lot): Tricyrtis is part of the scientific name for the toad lily! Alice is the one responsible for the band name because she likes plants. Also the color of the flowers are somewhat referenced in the color of their stage outfits here :3

Alright, onto day two (except I took too long to write this)! I’m going to be doing each member’s day with a page of sketches because why not? So we’re starting with the vocalist, obviously. Which is Alice Rose!

While not the initial founder of the band (or the concept at all. That goes to Natsumi and Yumeru!), she’s certainly at the core of it now. She tends to seem to be calm, collected, and difficult to read, but she’s put up this act as a way to push people away from her.

She’s notorious for overworking herself, and combined with the fact that she typically gets easily exhausted due to her overall fragile health and refuses to let people get close enough to her to realize the problem, it’s difficult to deal with her at times. Her bandmates are helping her break this habit, because after a few occasions of her passing out after a live, they realized it needs to stop before it gets worse.

Despite being annoyingly stubborn and reckless at times, she is still possible to get along with, evidenced by the fact that she’s quite close with all of her bandmates (although she occasionally clashes with Kaida).

Also, she’s from the US! I haven’t decided where, but it isn’t that important, since she moved to Japan when she was about 5 years old. She is completely fluent in English still though, since it’s still the main language spoken within her family. It won’t be super important that she speaks two languages, but it is a thing to know.

She spends a lot of her free time gardening, and generally prefers plants over people for company. Except in the case of her bandmates, which are the only people she actively wants to be around. (And don’t tell anyone, but sometimes she talks to her plants if she has things she doesn’t want to tell people or when she’s working on song lyrics.) She’s pretty knowledgeable on plants in general, and if it weren’t for that, Tricyrtis wouldn’t have the name is has!

I hope that wasn’t overwhelming to read, I just REALLY like talking about my characters. Especially Alice. There are some little details I left out (her height, birthday, etc) but those can be found in her section of the Tricyrtis main document!

And for the fun fact(s?) here: the concept for her came to me in a dream (as well as one other member who will be coming later) and I had to scramble to make notes about her before I forgot, and my girlfriend was the one who said she should be named Alice and that stuck with her since!

Hyuusuke crying at his final message? a mood

Ahahah I didn’t realize bandtober was a thing until very last minute so I was trying to draw all of my oc band (since I haven’t done it with them all together yet anyway despite them having existed for over 6 months) but I only finished one of my girls so... I guess expect me to be doing two days in one day to get on track? Take this as a preview for what’s to come :3

I now hate the master difficulty of "Sweet Magic" in Project SEKAI. The flick notes never register in a specific part of that song and it annoys me so much. Like I've FC'd a level 27 song in that game, bit I can't seem to FC that song which is a level 26.
