So let's talk Vocaloid.

I'm not very well versed on Vocaloid stuff. I've probably not heard of some of the most popular songs but I still enjoy the songs I do know.

So I've been thinking, what's a song that you think is either underrated or not spoken of much that you like? With the amount of songs, there probably are so many that are overshadowed by more well known songs.

For me, an underrated Vocaloid song that I really like is Lent Lily by Zig. I think it sounds nice and the lyrics are quite melancholic and bittersweet in a way. Other than the original, I'd suggest listening to dongdang's cover of the song

How is this card impossibly gorgeous-

so my dad has a friend who has like. more guitars than any human being should reasonably have, and he also teaches, and I HAVE been practicing on my own a bit, but that's only acoustic and I'll be honest I don't like acoustic guitars all that much and what I really wanna play is electric ... so I may or may not be getting lessons from this guy provided the [gestures vaguely at the world] Situation allows it ... at the very least he might lend me a guitar to practice with myself since he really has. a LOT. like over fifty.

and now I'm eyeing the BanDori & argnv score books very strongly even though I can't even play yet ... I might be able to do the keyboard sections too ... I might finally grow out of my role of Peasant Who Can Only Sing ...

I have no reason for announcing this other than I just felt like it and it's been one of those nights (the ones where I go through all the officially uploaded live performances and cry a lot yes this happens like once a week) and whenever I see these girls and boys play instruments I'm like. I wanna. I wanna do that too aaaa,

I know this happened a little while ago, but I only see it now so...

Lyrical Lily (from D4DJ) covered Gonna be the Twin-Tail!! 's opening and I'm just so happy. The song is really nice, but I always though "No way, this anime is way too weird and coming out of nowhere for it to have a cover from any franchise".

And it happened. So now ANYTHING is possible.

a question to all the artists here because I'm curious!

who or what would you say are the biggest influences on your art? style-wise, colours, in terms of workflow, maybe some specific things that stuck with you.

could be an anime or a manga, or another artist, or something else entirely. it's always interesting to hear this and see if you can find traces of it in the person's art hehe
