hello and welcome to Random Card Appreciation Time, where we randomly appreciate a card! I suppose!

this episode's feature: Classical Garden Kanon!

haaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH this card ... I could have picked the Chisato as well but I think I like the colour composition in this one a little bit better, with Kanon's blues & greens in the foreground. plus Kanon's a little lighter overall and I love that. but really they're both absolutely stunning

this set is a pastel dreamscape and so much my aesthetic sometimes I could cry about it. the 2*s are super cute and the Michelle is extremely huggable but the 4*s really drive that home, the soft colours & lighting they use?? marvelous. beautiful. absolutely amazing

everything about this card is soft. the colours, the expressions, the scene, the birdies, it's like out of a fairytale, and those dresses oh my god the dresses. I would kill to wear those dresses. both Kanon and Chisato look so chill like they have not a care in the world, just enjoying the moment, and I am happy when my girls are happy

I'll be honest I wasn't as fond of the "two girls in a trained card" thing when the PoPiPa set before this did it but this won me over, it's just enhanced so much by both of them being there. I really ... love the way their hands look and their warm blushes and the composition and OKAY MAYBE I'M JUST KANOCHISA-BIASED BUT this is. blessed. it's blessed, also chronologically speaking Chisato is wearing the same braids in this card that Kanon braided in her card and that's just. rly nice

okay wow I'm rambling even more than usual but this card just hits me right in my heart, the colours make me d-doki, everything about it is perfect and if Mermaid Sayo didn't exist it'd be a solid contender for Favourite Card In The Game

MY HEART SKIP A BEAT! WELCOME AYA!

I have talked about my favourite 2Stars, I've talked about 3Stars with 4Star quality, so I think it's time that I talk about some actual 4Stars, and what better way to start it than with the card which got me into BanDori in the first place?

I. Love. This. Card. Not only is it because it got me into the franchise, but also because it's simply such a good card. To be perfectly honest, it's still my favourite Yukina 4Star, and that's saying a lot. It's the 2nd gacha 4Star released in the entire game, even almost 2 years later, it still holds up.

• I have a thing for expressions when it comes to cards. This card in particular might have one of my favourite Yukina-faces. I love it when the artists draw her with a softer expression, and this card delivers. She looks so content and at peace, which is very nice.

• I love the way the card is drawn. The lighting, the pose, the imagery, all of it is so good. The cage and ivy especially are drawn super nicely and the gold of the cage looks really nice in contrast to the darker colours of the rest of the card.

• FEATHERS. BLUE FEATHERS ESPECIALLY.

• Can we talk about the LOUDER outfits? Because I. Love. Them. Especially Yukina's (Mostly because it's the most detailed one). Just... the way the dress is drawn, the heavy amount of feathers that mix very well with the colours of the dress, the slight amount of purple feathers (Because image colours), the accessories, I LOVE THIS OUTFIT.

In conclusion: I love this card so much that I'm considering forcing her home instead of Natural Wind Eve during EN's first anniversary, and considering that Eve's my best girl and Yukina isn't even in my top tier, that should speak for itself on how much I ADORE this card.

fun fact: the only two non-vocalist 3*s in which the instrument of the girl in it is neither shown nor alluded to (with boomboxes or glowy things or music notes or anything like that) are Serene New Movement Eve and New Year's Michelle. (Santarisa has music notes on her bag so she's out)

one could argue that the Eve does actually have a nod to her instrument, that being the organ in the back ... organs aren't pianos or keyboards but they're kind of similar, so that may have been on purpose. there's nothing at all like that on the Michelle. so depending on how you see it, Michelle might be the only one. the Rinko in the same gacha as Eve does have a piano though, so ...

why would you wanna know that? ... uh, I don't know. but now you do. yay!
