“What makes an early Garupa 28 song difficult is not because the overall beatmap is difficult, but because there are specific parts of the beatmap that are extremely challenging to clear. On the other hand, the 28s now are difficult because the overall beatmap is challenging, but they are not on the same level as the specific parts in an early 28.”

This is an opinion I’ve had for a while, back when I was FC’ing EX Ringing Bloom on JP. I wanted to know what other people thought. Do you think the same, a bit differently or do you completely disagree?

At the very least, I think the style of beatmaps have changed from this ‘early’ style to now. I feel like the newer beatmaps fit their song better than the old ones did, as well as overall being more balanced in difficulty which I find makes the beatmap more fun. That’s why I love the SPECIAL difficulty. Feel free to disagree if you think otherwise.

Also personally, why I find Ringing Bloom to be one of the more easier 28 to FC. If I’m blaming myself for messing up rather than myself for not being able to clear, that’s good.
