This has been said a thousand times, but there can never be enough appreciation for Bandori’s amazing writing, so here goes-
Props to the writers for giving the girls realistic character development and not being afraid to step away from their initial tropes. Sayo is the best example. She was initially that strict, unapproachable, and icy character. As we all know, she retained her serious and hardworking side, but also became very sweet and empathetic as the story progressed.
I think the best thing is that the writers kept her development (and everyone else’s) consistent throughout the event stories. A lot of mobile games seem to have trouble with this since they want to cater to both new and old players. But overall, I think Bandori’s writers do a great job with keeping their stories consistent.
(Still, I can imagine new Bandori players having an image of Sayo’s unsociable personality, and then being confused about how well she gets along with everyone when they read the newer event stories. I guess this can also be a bit of a downside?)
