Am I the only one here who really likes to ship Tae x Rimi? I swear I LOVE this ship a lot. At first it was mainly for superficial reasons, like them being my 2 faves, the height difference (which is one of my "kinks" when it comes to shipping), the fact that it is a ship that features a Pure looking girl X Cool looking girl combo (another "kink" of mine), and especially, the summer festival Tae 3* where they hold hands, as well as the moment when it happens in the event story, where Rimi is scared of the noise the fireworks make and Tae gives her her hand to calm her down.
However, after watching the anime, it grew even more on me. There, we don't really get to see it, but Tae and Rimi get really close. For example, when PoPiPa meets Tae, Rimi had just joined the band and was still very shy and struggled talking to people she didn't know, and yet she starts talking with Tae, who she didn't know at all at that momemt, very quickly and easily without getting nervous at all, she seems to be very comfortable talking with her, and they both get along pretty well. There is also one small moment where Rimi talks to her sister about Tae when she met her, and tells her that she wishes she had talked to her before. And in one episode, all of PoPiPa are nervous because they have an audition the next day, and to calm down, Rimi asks Tae if she can stay at her house, which she very happily accepts, and everyone in PoPiPa join in too. When they all meet Tae's Mom, we see that she already knows Rimi, and even calls her Rimi-Rin, which implies that both Tae and Rimi got close, to the point of Rimi having stayed before at Tae's house without anyone else from the band.
Another reason as to why I like this ship is how Tae acts with Rimi. Usually, Tae is a weirdo who says weird things out of nowhere, and all that, but when she is with Rimi, I realized that her weirdness is toned down and has kind of a sweet spot for her, as if she is aware of how nervous Rimi can get, so she holds back her weirdness to not overwhelm her. If you look closely at Tae's conversations with everyone in PoPiPa, you can see that she acts in a more weird manner with the others,while she usually acts more normally with Rimi.
Other reasons as to why I love this ship are their interactins in conversations. From some of them, we can tell that Rimi really admires Tae and talks about how cool she is and how good she is playing the guitar. There are also other conversations, like one where Tae just says how beautiful something is, without saying what is, and when Rimi asks what is beautiful, she answers "Rimi-Rin" to which Rimi gets really flustered about. Tae then says that she refers to how beautiful Rimi-Rin sounds, and she keeps saying Rimi-Rin constantlly which makes Rimi really flustered.
Another conversation has Rimi saying her usual "oihi" instead of "oishi" when she eats choco cornets, and Tae imitates that same "oihi" noise Rimi does, amd when Rimi asks why she imitated her, Tae says that it is to try and know how Rimi feels while eating choco cornets, and then Rimi shouts "O-Tae-Chan!" in a really flustered way which I find really cute.
These are some of the reasons as to why I love this ship so much, and I could honestly talk more and more about it.
