Today in class I was sitting down next to some of my classmates who were talking about the whole Pewdiepie vs TSeries thing. My teacher overhears, and starts asking for everybody's opinion on the matter. Soon after, she decides to host a debate.

Favorite Poppin’ Party Character

Saaya always has, and always will be, my favorite character from the Bandori franchise. She has a beautiful voice, and I’ve always been a huge fan of her seiyuu, Ohashi Ayaka! I’ve always loved her kind, mothering personality, and I adore her friendship with all of the PoPiPa girls too! Besides the obvious reasons for liking a character, there’s a little bit more to why I love Saaya as much as I do. I think most people discovered Bandori through the game, but I actually found it through the anime! When I saw Saaya, I was instantly drawn to her due to her cute character design. However, after learning more about Saaya, I started to see a bit of myself in her. I usually don’t care if characters share similarities with myself or not, but this time was different. Saaya’s mother is often sick, which means she’s left with a lot of responsibilities at home, which is something I directly relate to. Although I’m the youngest of three children (myself included), my family has always relied on me in a similar way, but I also related to her mother being ill. My own mom has a lot of medical issues, and I often found myself thinking back on my own struggles while watching Saaya’s story unfold. I’ve never been able to completely understand how a character is feeling so well before, which is why Saaya will always be my best girl.
