Bandori! 30 Day Challenge: Favourite PoPiPa Character

Rimi Ushigome

Rimi is my all-time favourite PoPiPa member. She used to be really low on my list, but then I decided to give her a chance and started to understand her. Actually, Tae used to be my favourite because she was awesome but that changed once I started to focus on Rimi.

Your first impressions on Rimi would usually be shy, emotional, the cutie and a bit annoying. Although those traits are some-what right, her overall trait is quirky. Her quirkiness may not be as strong as other characters like Himari, but her main aspect is that. Her love for Chocolate is adorable and always puts a smile on my face, especially that scene from the 'Start of a New Session' event.

Her design. Rimi's design is a bit simple but in a world of girls with completely different personalities and eccentric looks, simple is usually good. Her short posture gives a sort-off weak aura and her voice is a bit high. High voices usually come off as annoying but it's easy to get used to. I absolutely adore her singing voice and honestly thinks its really good.

Her development. Her development as a character isn't really that strong but you can see her grow up as a character over-all. Especially in the ones which feature Yuri in it.

In conclusion, choco corone is best corone

Alright, I’m onto day 8 of the 30-day challenge! Credit to Okusawamiikun!

DAY 8: Favorite Roselia Character!

SAYOOOOO!!!

So lucky you guys (not), because Sayo is the longest character journey that I’ve done so far! Because . . . Because . . . I have a strange confession to make, that will probably be very confusing at first, considering that now she’s in my top ten and I love her to death.

H-here it comes . . .

Sayo used to be my least favorite character.

So yeah. Sayo was my least favorite character. I thought she was too serious and boring and a total jerk to Hina (although Hina was my third-to-last favorite character. Now she’s my least favorite. Sorry, Hina. You're just . . . UGHVTYVGHAKBYUKbcd.)

And it was like that for the first few months of Bandori, until she moved up one place, after Yukina and now before Hina, who quickly plummeted after I pulled for a very-badly-desired Moca 4*, got no 4* or 3* and at the end, her Bushido three star . . . Her “bop bop Boppin” sounded like “boopity boopity boop” and . . . I’m getting sidetracked.

But then. A little less than a month ago. I was looking for cards to use as my iPad wallpaper and I saw a Sayo three star I had never seen before.

I instantly understood what was going on. She was trying to eat cotton candy like a “normal person” (although I still haven’t read the event story.) I, too, have done such things, as I’m super anti-outdoors and I mostly prefer to just create things. People think I’m crazy when I try to make a basket while forced to play basketball and it bounces miserably three feet under the hoop.

Intrigued by this sudden emotional connection to Sayo, this girl who I had hated so much before, I searched through some of her other cards and found this one.

I knew, of course, from reading her short description on BanPa, that she loved junk food and sweets and fries and stuff, but hid it. This card reflected that, reflected her trying so hard.

And then, yes, I found one more, and just had to read the event story after that:

I was fascinated at how she was using a ruler to measure her cookies. She really does take life too seriously, but for some reason, it was starting to seem . . . Kind of likable? I immediately read the event story after that and was instantly in love with Sayo (And SayoTsugu.) Again, she just tries too hard. She should relax sometimes.

Well, anyway. I think maybe that’s everything about Sayo? I think? Oh, wait! I also love how she always has to be modest and doesn’t like wearing anything too revealing or anything, like in the Summer in the Land of Shining Water event.

Thanks for coming to my Sayo Ted Talk! It was long but you made it, and for that you get a special (SMILING!!!) Sayo!
