-ChomamaLi-‘s EVENT EVALUATION!

This was the most amazing event ever, oh my gosh. Every little everything was just amazing and perfect and wonderful!

Let me start by saying I JUST. GOT. T5K. FOR THE FIRST. TIME. Just let me scream for a second excuse me

AAAAAAAAAAAAAA— okay I’m good

Anyway. I also got over four HUNDRED THOUSAND points. I don’t even know how that’s possible for me considering the fact that I’m only allowed a half hour of Bandori a day.

I also did everything the quickest I’ve ever done. I got the two star and rare stamp on the first day of the event, then got the three star on the third day (along with completing all the event missions!)

I also did something (yes, another thing) I’ve never done before. I cleared a LEVEL 27 song. I can barely even clear some 26 songs, like Unite from A to Z or Moon Pride, but somehow I cleared Redo with ease.

Anyway! Enough about me. Let’s talk actual event!

First of all, the event story! I already talked about it in this post, so I won’t say anything else about it.

Let’s move onto cards! These cards are some of my favorites and it was a shame I couldn’t pull for them, but they’re permanent, so that’s a relief.

First up, the Misaki!

I love the dynamic and the viewing angle of this card. And also she just looks so . . . So . . . So . . . Cute~

I never really care for the Michelles because uh MICHELLE (no costumes look good on a big fat pink bear) but this one is like the only exception. For one, I just love all the costumes in the set, and for two, those adorable little kawaii lambs just pop up every once and awhile and they’re SO CUTE. And the sleepy lil’ Kokoro is always a bonus.

I LOVE this card. The colors are especially beautiful, and her pose and the outfit itself, with the hat and monocle and everything . . . She just looks like this wise awesome wizard who you can’t help but spend all your stars ⭐️ for.

Even the two star is amazing! That lil’ squishy Michelle, her hairstyle, and the way she’s sitting on the ground just really sell the deal for me.

And the Kokoro! Her sleep mask aaaaa! And her curly hair! Just everything! Aaaaa!

And last but NOT NOT NOT NOT least, Hagumi!! She’s so amazing! This is by far my favorite 3* of her, probably even my favorite Hagu card overall with Fox/Fall Hagu in a close second. The shine in her eyes, the expression on her face, the way she’s intently looking at that magical book, the angle of the card. I am so unbelievably happy this is an event card!

Well, anyway. Overall, this was an amazing event, and I’m super bummed I couldn’t pull for it! Hopefully in one of my White Day Tae pulls I’ll get to claim Kaoru or Misaki or Kokoro as my very own. I WANT TO HUG THEM ALL ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY’RE ALL FLUFFYYYYYY

And wait I forgot to mention those adorable lil’ lamb horns on everybody! EEEEEEEE I’M IN FLUFFY LAMB HEAVEN

Kung Fu Panda (2008) looks a lot different than I remember

So who are we getting on the JP server for Valentines? I can’t wait to see them lol even though I’m not on that server.

I’m going to start a kind of Event Prediction thing for holiday events because y’know it would be really fun. I HAVE TOO MANY “THINGS” I KNOW.

The past Valentines’ Day events have been more of a brown/gold kind of theme, so I want lots of pink and red and long gowns and amazing new hairstyles! I was thinking maybe all of them should have their hair in a bun on top of their head with lots of wisps of hair coming out of it. Or, similarly, something like Kona from my fan band (with most of the hair down and then a little bun on top.)

As for the members, I’m hoping Kaoru, Sayo, Rimi, Eve, and Misaki, or all PasuPare! And if the members were the ones I’m hoping for, Eve and Misaki would be the four stars with Rimi as the three star, and Kaoru would be the event three star and Sayo would be the event two star. (Kaoru and Sayo could definitely swap though since Sayo’s had a lot of 2*s recently.)

I would have put Himari in as well as Rimi so they could both give Kaoru valentines, but Himari’s in the upcoming Valentines’ EN event, so . . .

Anyway . . . That’s my prediction! It is very very unlikely going to come true but that’s what I hope anyway!

TOP 1000 FOR KAORU! BOOYAH!

This is the highest I've ranked since the Phantom Thief Cruise event (3rd event overall)!

Now I'm waiting for more Kaoru 4 stars!

Yay, I didn’t realize this was a Mission Live event! A Wholehearted Song For Me was super fun so this should be exciting :) Just 30 minutes to go!

CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT HOW GENIUS IT IS TO USE DOLLIMAGERY FOR PASTEL PALLETES OF ALL BANDS?!

In the MV, a lot of the off stage shots take place in a sort of makeshift doll factory, I think. The PasuPare girls, first and foremost Aya, are being shown as if they were dolls for sale, as they are being mass-produced into pretty little dolls.

Dolls are exactly what we want them to be, they can be whatever and whoever we say they are, if you want your doll to be a serial killer, your doll is now a serial killer, want the doll to be a perfect Mary Sue? Well, you got yourself a Mary Sue right there, friend.

And why is this so genius? Because that's how some people, and some agencies, see idols. Idols are supposed to be these pure, untouched goddesses that you can dream about, and they are whatever you, or the agencies want them to be. They're wish-fulfillment for people.

Usually, there's some sort of norm that the idols are supposed to fit into; Aya doesn't. In the MV, I don't know if it was intentional or not, but for the sake of this argument, it was. Aya is too small for her box, meaning that she doesn't fit into the norm/mold/whatever, which clearly she doesn't if we talk about her character.

And if we talk about the whole factory thing; If something is produced in a factory, more often than not it is artificial. What else is artificial? The PasuPare we could've had. PasuPare was supposed to lie, to be artificial, to not be real, because they were supposed to fake their instrument-playing, they were supposed to fake everything that happened on stage and Aya was supposed to lip-sync, which can be described as artificial singing.

This also links to the piñata. It represents PasuPare's, Idonno, rebellion? It's basically just there to symbolise them making a change and becoming better because of it.

What I'm trying to say with this? PasuPare is fantastic, and doll-imagery was made for them. Thanks for coming to my TEDTalk.

Edit: Upon further inspection of the MV, I think Aya being too small for the box is intentional, as it looks like the other 4 girls do fit into their boxes.

And also; If you imagine the factory as their agency, it ads a whole other level of imagery.
