DAY 5: Favorite Afterglow Song
Oh, this is such a hard one, I love so many of Afterglow’s songs! I narrowed them down for quite a while and finally picked three that I couldn’t choose between.
Number one,
Tied to the Skies!
I love this song, more so when I finished reading Afterglow’s second band story (which I truly loved.) The song and the story both conveyed the storyline of them changing but still remaining under the same sky, remaining “the same as always.”
Plus the rhythm and song lyrics and tune and everything are awesome. I love Tied to the Skies. Ta ta, I’m going to listen to it now.

SCARLET SKY!
Scarlet Sky was the first Afterglow song I ever played and the first one to get stuck in my head, as I mentioned in my Day 1 post. So it’s not entirely about the song itself that makes it my favorite (although it IS really great) but the emotion and nostalgia attached to it, even though I only joined Bandori a few months ago, haha.
And finally . . .
RUMBLING MEMORY!
I love Rumbling Memory, especially the beatmap, it’s super fun to play! And the way Ran says “Rumbling Memory” (“LANbuling Memolee”) is so irresistible! Plus it was paired with my favorite event ever. Enough said.

DAY 3: Favorite PoPiPa Song
B.O.F!
I really love this song. For one thing, the rhythm and tune are amazing and it’s super catchy.
For the next thing . . .
Tae sings it with Kasumi! (Doesn’t that answer everything, lol?)
It’s kind of funny how I think my three best girls, no matter who they are at the time, are amazing singers. Well, obviously Arisa and Tae are amazing, but some people think singing Moca just sounds weird.
I think she sounds adorable. :3
Anyway, I’m getting sidetracked here. Tae sounds incredible in B.O.F along with Kasumi . . . And the lyrics are great, too!

Rank 12! First T100 and first PoPiPa T1000+! I made some mistakes along the way, some minor, some really major, in the end, all those boosts have been used successfully!
But the more I played as the event went by, the more I realised I didn’t really want the T100. It was obvious that I was never gonna reach T10 (#11 is more than double my points as well, that’s where the ‘fight for T10’ was happening) and after half of my boosts reserves were gone, I was pretty confident I’d solidified my T100. What I wanted to do was see how far I could go. Those 870 turned 890 boosts have been saved up throughout this entire year, from New Years. All of that preparation... for a weeks worth of time. Sure, seeing those numbers increase past the millions really excited me but at what costs? Near the end of Sep until now, I’ve been so busy that all my time on Garupa were in Lives. Not even any time for reading stories. It was not fun. It sucked. I wanted to stop and give up, but giving up would mean all those months prior would be wasted, and I’d come too far to give up. So I decided to still use up all the boosts, not for tiering or a high score, but to complete this 11 month journey. I started this, I may as well see it through to the end.
It’s time I stopped playing Garupa so methodically. Start playing casually. Start having fun again. Start getting some results again. I have issues with dedication, but it’s the opposite of what you’d expect; I get so engrossed into something that I forget everything else. Now that my giant dedication to this event is gone, I want to pick up everything I dropped prior to this event. 100% FC, PoPiPa 100% AP, writing (oh, the writing I want to do), not to mention the things I love doing normally. I’m starting anew, and I couldn’t feel more glad.
I guess New Years came early for me, huh?

So I’m going to try out this 30-day challenge by Okusawamiikun! Here goes!
DAY 1: Favorite Band
This one’s a no-brainer for me! I just LOVE Afterglow. Why? Well, let me tell you.
For one thing, I love all of the characters. Like, in Poppin’Party, I love Tae and Arisa, but I don’t really care for the other three. All the Afterglow characters are so in-depth, relatable, and cute, especially Tsugu, the hardworking, loyal friend who sometimes goes unappreciated.
And then their theme. I love how they can just be theirselves onstage. For example, PasuPare basically just has the same outfit for everybody with different accent colors. In Afterglow, a part from the jacket and choker, they basically just wear their personal style. Plus, they all wear their jacket differently.
Their music is also amazing, and I think more deep than the other bands’. Apart from PoPiPa, I think their songs are also the catchiest. (Scarlet Sky was the first Bandori song to ever get stuck in my head!)
