For Day 3 of Bandtober, I present Nigira Okaa!

Nigira is a friendly half-French, half-Japanese girl who usually tries to come off as serious and mature, but is very enthusiastic and bubbly. Her parents own a restaurant, BonTraveler, which not only serves French and Japanese food but food from all over the world. She loves helping around the restaurant and cooking the dishes, and is tasked with finding live performers to play at their restaurant twice a week. When she couldn’t find anyone, she went to both high schools trying to find performers, and that’s where she met the rest of BonTekuno. She acts like a polite and refined chef on the outside, but on the inside, she’s a huge fan of the five bands, specifically Afterglow. She also watches all of PasuPare’s online videos, as it’s her second favorite band.

i've decided i'm gonna post my fan band prompt list (officially dubbed bandtober!) in two days, so on thursday, since it's a week before october starts! i want to give people a bit of time to plan/draw ahead if they need to, and also i'm just way too excited to wait until the week of.

Guess who got so caught up in the last day of IdolCon that they forgot to post yesterday? It’s me... anyway today will be a double post to make up for it. Starting with what was meant to be yesterday’s post for day four, with the bassist of Tricyrtis, Kaida Ryuuen!

One of the later members to join the band, she wasn’t particularly involved in the idea of making it, but she helped complete it. She was recruited by Yumeru, as they’ve been classmates for a couple years and were fully aware of each other’s instrument experience.

She comes off as very cool and confident, almost effortless in how she acts. There’s plenty she puts into that appearance, but it’s not deceptive either. While typically calm, she can occasionally be very serious, especially when it comes to the band. Or when Alice isn’t properly taking care of herself. If Alice is stubbornly reckless, Kaida is stubbornly protective, and they often clash over that. When it comes to anything else, they get along fine, but if Kaida notices Alice getting too tired and points it out, it’s likely to end in an argument.

While her protectiveness shows up most around Alice, it extends to any and all of her friends. She’s the one who helps Yumeru out with remembering school stuff, and she’s always willing to help out the other two members of the band when they need it.

She does, of course, have a weak point in her overall tough exterior: anything she thinks is cute. Especially cute animals, except it’s probably not what you expect. She has a very soft spot for reptiles, even owning a pet snake of her own. Don’t get it wrong, she still likes the more stereotypically “cute” animals, but she’s especially fond of reptiles.

But not without our fun fact first: she’s based on an oc I made years ago who was named after and based on my dragonair in pokemon soul silver! While Kaida doesn’t share the same name, she’s still based on that oc, and her name references that origin slightly ;)

bandtober day 3 - guitarists...?

okay the trend of me being a couple hours late is over. now I'm a couple days late. but that's okay because I'm breaking out of the formula here anyway, since keeping the instruments as they should would lead to the numbers not matching up (thanks, aurora, for having a weird instrument combination) and that'd annoy me. so instead of guitarists, here's the ... lead instruments? can you call it that? since the violin replaces the guitar in aurora ... though HSD doesn't really have a set lead guitar either ... JUST TAKE IT

once again, short summaries from left to right:

Yumeooji Kaguya (HOP✩STEP♡DREAM) - Guitar

• university 2nd yr, studying economics
• somehow got dragged into forming the band when she met Aguri and Riko and decided they need a guiding hand
• people tend to avoid her cause she has the aura of someone who gets into fights
• actually very sweet and caring, if a bit "tough love"

Hiiragi Ria (Sirenity) - Guitar

• high school 2nd yr
• cousin of Mae, Sirenity's vocalist, from one of the Hiiragi branch families
• huge band otaku who wants to become as good of a guitarist as those she admires
• soft-spoken until bands are involved, has a hard time saying no to people, but not particularly shy and actually kind of an extrovert

Kasura Ryuuji (*KALEIDOSKOPE.) - (Lead) Guitar

• university 3rd yr, studying law
• Kaleidoskope's leader who made the final decision to keep them going after Rinto left
• doesn't have an ounce of fashion sense. sometimes his friends take pity on him and gift him clothes
• dependable and stoic, but very set in his ways and has a hard time adapting to change

Haiki Yanagi (aurora aurea) - Violin

• high school 3rd yr
• older twin brother of Kaede, Sirenity's keyboardist. their relationship is strained
• initially sceptical of bands, but joined aurora in an attempt to reconnect with Kaede
• aloof, socially awkward, very lonely, mostly off on his own either playing violin or doing student council work

very late day two is vocalists! this one is obviously a bit more rushed than the previous day, but most of the drawings for the rest of the month will probably be a bit more similar to this one than the first day.

asuga ito is the main vocalist of DARK★PORTAL, and has an evil-eye complex. she pretends to have mysterious dark powers, and claims to be able to summon demons and perform ritual spells. she can be quite bossy, possibly a result of her being not only an older sister, but also the oldest in the band. she practices lowering her voice in secret, but her normal, unaltered voice is actually pretty nasally and high.

hanami imamura is not only the vocalist for NEP2NE, but also the keytarist and synth player! she is a more upbeat and peppy girl, but she can be impulsive and airheaded at times, despite being quite smart underneath her childish exterior. she began playing piano at a young age as a hobby, and found a passion for it. as she grew older, she began experimenting with synths and keytars, and also found natural talent in them as well.
