I thought about explaining a little bit how my edits work by using this upcoming remake of one of my old no-background edits.

It’s obviously not finished, I’ll post the final result somewhere before Valentine day

Let’s start with the basic: find the right face for the right card. So what I normally do is find a random card I like, look at it, and think " who would fit on that ". I think about two things here. First, the colours. Most characters are having colours that match them more than others. For example, Ran is fitting really well on cards that are with warmer tones. Second, the overall "energy" of the card. Is it more of a cute pose, cool pose, sexy pose, etc. I then try to find a card of the girl I choose that fits the orientation of the original card’s head. That’s where most of my projects ended, when I couldn’t find any.

I found a nice head to fit the card. Yay! I place it by making it bigger/smaller, swap from left to right and erasing whatever is not needed. In most card, including this one, the placing of the head would be done. However, in some cards, I have to redraw additional hair as it is cut by shoulders or other objects. It was the case with my first Pareo edit, where I had to move and redraw a little one of her pigtail. I also have to make sure, like in this card, that there is some hair that stays behind translucide parts of the card (here, the chocolate bag and hat later).

Now we place accessories! Most of the time, it’s just a hat like in this one. I add shadows to the border so it feels more natural. Sometimes there’s also earrings to add. In more " extreme " cases like Valentine Pareo, I’ll have to change the colours of existing accessories. Pareo’s bow was originally blue on the Pareo card, but I did my best to redraw it red.

Now the most fun part: " filters ". I say filter, but I actually just apply different shades of colours to make the new face fit with the card. It’s already mostly done on this card. I added some pink to Ran’s red hair, some pink tone to her eyes and changed the shadows to match Chisato’s. Sometimes I also have to change the skin tone.

And there we go with the long and harsh job of erasing everything that doesn’t belong in the card anymore aka the hair. Sometimes it’s easier than others, depending on how thick the hair parts are and what background is behind. I am currently doing it on this card, as you can see. It’s quite messy, but I’m working with the right pigtail. It's simple but very long... I have to redraw the background and sometimes imagine what it can possibly look like.

When this’ll be done, I’ll do some last edit things (more filters, redrawing some things, etc.) and it’s done! I try to make sure I didn’t forget something on the way, which is most of the time the case, and I don’t see it before posting and then I see it and try to go as fast as possible to correct it and change the image…

That’s about what the process looks like… an edit can take 3 to 5 hours (most of the time more when I’m slow, which is… a lot of the time that’s why I listen to music while doing it) depending on the card and, especially, amount of erasing to do.

Let’s talk about Zombieland Saga

If you’re on this website, you most certainly like the idol genre or something that ressembles it. That’s why, with the second season approaching, I think I can suggest that you watch Zombieland Saga (if you didn’t already watched it).

The thing with Zombieland Saga is that it gives such a new vibe to the idol genre with its unique comedy and « horror ». It actually was my first idol anime, before bandori, and I think I wouldn’t have gotten into bandori if it wasn’t for Zombieland. Not to mention it has great music that isn't always in the idol genre.

Here are the bread smacking and mud scenes to get a general idea of what some of the comedy can look like. There's no spoilers, but, of course, you don't have as much context as when you watch it.

This show also deals wonderfully with a trans girl, with all the characters naturally coming with it as normal and totally fine (even their idiot producer).

By the way, if you know Hololive and heard Suisei’s cover of the song Saga Jihen , it’s actually a Zombieland Saga song !

It’s cute and light, like Pasupare. Just not in my favourites.

It just seems a little boring, but it isn’t so bad.

It’s really cute, but nothing more.

The song isn’t bad, but I’m just really tired of hearing it…

While great, I’m not a big fan of the song.

It’s boring, but great.

I love the song, but the Pasupare cover is ok.

It’s slow paced, but great!

While being great, this song disappointed me like all Pasupare band story 3.

It’s a really cute song! The only problem is I can full combo on expert, but not on hard… I’m cursed.

It’s not their best original, but it’s still really great for band story.

I was soooo scared I wouldn't get him... I was on soft pity (77), but on 50/50 and I thought "if it's not him, there's no way I can get him afterwards". And there he is.

Time to farm the new world boss.

Edit: I absolutely do no regret getting him! I have him at level 60 only right now with pretty bad artifacts (my artifact luck is so bad that in 3 weeks of non-stop artifact farming, I only got 1 ok flower and one great but broken set feather) and he slaps.

So Genshin released the trailer a few hours ago. I’m so hyped but so scared... 15k primos + 32 in pity history. I’m on 50/50, and that means I could spend everything and get nothing. At least, I like all the 4* on the banner.

Any of you are trying to get him? There’s plenty of reasons to. Design, character (story-like), gameplay (which is unique), strength (according to data mines, he currently has the highest attack in the game), etc. There’s also the va, if you play with Jp on, that is well known for his role of, well, obviously, Kirito, but also Sora from no Game no Life, Souma from Food Wars, etc. If you follow this season’s anime, he also voices Miyamura from Horimiya.

What are your reasons to get him or not?

Ok so I'm fine but I'm not. For three reasons.

First: OMG TAE OMG TAE OMG. She sooooo pretty, the trained and the untrained, both are good and I'm so happy!

Second: Rimi came home. I love you Rimi, I really do, but you're not the one I wanted... I still love you tho.

Third: What type are the cards again? Ah yeah... cool... no pure Tae 4*. But in the same time I'm telling myself it's great because it would've been limited and I didn't get her anyway...

I'm so happy, but I'm also conflicted. Never expected feeling that through a Valentine event at 3 am, because yes, I woke in the middle of the night for that.

Tiering on the jp server is hell

So I wanted to tier in the top 500 for this event, but I'm scared that I won't be able to make it and then maintain it for the next 7 days or so...

Is there any of you that are high tierers? If so, any infos on how much points people have? Or do you know if people gather more or less points after the first day? Any tips are also welcomed!
