It's about an hour til 2021 in the UK so I thought I'll post this now!

So, umm, Happy New Year peeps! 2020 definitely sucked for everyone but hopefully 2021 will be better! I won't lie, this year may have been an all time low for me...mentally? (is that the right word?) 2020 was probably the year where I had the most...stressful and slightly sad moments and it was honestly really hard. But that's where Banpa and this community plays a part. I feel genuinely happy here, seeing everyone's posts and sometimes talking or helping people here. Not to mention the friends I made here. I don't know how to thank some of the people here for...helping me and putting up with me for the last few months. I consider you some of the greatest friends I've ever had. Talking to you everyday is fun and something I look forward to (yes even when weird animal stuff gets brought up). When we have stupid conversayions about...baguettes or whatever. It makes my whole day happier and it's something I'm grateful for.

I know that I will probably still be struggling through 2021 but hopefully it will be a better year for everyone!

well, hey guys! new years huh? 2021. unbelieveable. its passed so fast. its only about 7pm here, so ive got a few hours to go, but ill post this now because ill forget later~

lets not deny it, 2020 sucked for a lot of people. as for me, i have had many high points that were very high but likewise low points that were horribly low. i developed several bad habits this year that i never thought i would but ive also been working to better myself in other ways. i made new friends, strengthened old friendships, got into a relationship which i very much enjoy, had wonderful fun at my new school, but i've also been horribly stressed and bogged down by good ol mental illness, general neuroticism, and increasingly self-destructive tendencies. good or bad, this year has been intense.

things wont change the moment the clock hits 2021. they wont change jan 2, or 3rd, and they may not even be very changed by the time february rolls around, but i believe just being out of this year will be a breath of fresh air for many. optimism, careful optimism is key. i have hope that 2021 will not be as... catastrophic. lets all take a breath!

okay, onto banpa stuff! beyond all that depressing mess.

this is a lovely community. no drama, friendly people, close-knit but welcoming. i appreciate each and every one of you i have ever interacted with, for being so kind and genuine and enthusiastic.

special shout out to the banpamong us server! you guys are super cool. i know im a strange one at times, and im not the most active, but i like you all :) you have made me feel welcomed during a time when i generally dont feel like that. i hope i havent been too much of a black sheep! i really enjoy spending time there.

2020 was a terrible year globally, but actually a really good one personally. let's hope 2021 doesn't just flip that and instead is great across the board!

I'm really bad at these things, but ... 2020 brought so many good things to me, including but not limited to figuring out my life and where I wanna go with it, new friends and old ones I got closer to, and of course the growing popularity of as well as my hyperfixation on ARGONAVIS ... and in terms of BanDori, we got Morfonica and RAS ingame, loads of great covers, 3rd band stories, cool lives ......

I said in my Christmas post I don't rly do shoutouts cause I'll def forget people, but I feel like I have to anyway ... so, to Rouleau, bushido dad, & everyone on the BanPamong Us server (extra mentions to Kaiton, Rhina, JaY, & SayMrrp just for being the ones I talk to the most BUT YOU'RE ALL GREAT DON'T BE FOOLED), thank you for making this cursed year all the more special! I've always been active here, but in 2020 I came to feel more at home here than pretty much anywhere else online, and you're not the WHOLE reason but a good chunk of it

THIS, IS GOING TO BE THE LAST POST AND ESSAY OF 2020 I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT-

I feel kinda dumb that I'm making some essay about this, kinda desperate honestly... But don't worry i actually have friends... And why shouldn't i make an essay about one of the many things that luckily made me stay alive and not go insane in 2020?

Frist, Bandori and Bandori party which is something that really helped me out... Who knew that a nendoroid would make me play this game for this long; but here i am to thank nendoroid Sayo stage outfit edition,,, and me being curious enough to get an account on Bandori party. Sure, i have friends and i talk to them but at times you just want to talk to someone about stuff you like,,, so thanks to everyone for being survivors of my infinite talks, essays and opinions. I really appreciate you! And i mean all, don't care if we never talked or you didn't even know i existed here; i think you're still good. Thank you for making everything so much better and wholesome for me... And being someone who has been in other communities, this is so wholesome and safe! I also think I'm better here because I'm more mature and know more about internet safety now.

Second... After i learned about this website, game and TOMOE, of course i would talk about her now, not to thank her but still because the last essay of 2020 is always needed! I NEVER, NEVER had someone that could be such a comfort character and relatable!!! Even if it's mostly about her negatives and small details... She still remains the most relatable one yet! I'm filled with joy when I read her event stories too because MAN we can all admit she's the dumbest one out of all of them members. Speaking of which, she's so dumb and adorable... I can't take it at times, not as much as Eve tho, i can't take it EVERYTIME ( but that's a story for another day, which is a joke I'M DOING IT NOW- ). And lastly, her sister moments with Ako... I'M LIKE CRYING MY EYES OUT. That's why I really like the pijiama paintent event, yes the set ... it might be... Awful because they're literally sexualizing teenagers ( or that's how I see it, the costumes could even be fine since they're meant to be nurses afterall but how the cards were done is just dirty ), but the story itself is heartwarming that it makes you cry your whole body out. I would've preferred something like the astronomy SayoHina set at the time... Even keeping the costumes who cares! Just make the cards less disgusting...

Another and the last events I'm talking about is the growing up sisters and the Darkness Ako event! It's really interesting how Ako tries to become more dependable and herself and Tomoe trying to understand she's slowly growing up and accept it. I honestly ( let's get into the controversial again ) find better TomoAko as a sister pair than SayoHina, but not even because I'm biased or because of the development they have, but because it's more relatable for me and definitely more heartwarming than all the SayoHina events. Also it's surprisingly underrated so........ Stan TomoAko sister pair!

SHE'S ADORABLE AND CUTE

If you know me I'm biased about most cute and adorable characters, Eve is no exception!!! She was always my second favorite and cared so much about me she came home as my second 4*!!! I guess my love for her worked afterall,,, yey! Also she makes me cry 24/7, her voice? Too adorable and beautiful. Thank you Sawako... Your voice is so good!!

Now it's time for Chisato, i know i always treat you as a meme and a mascot for my profile ( The death stare Chisato profile pic and fairy Chisato holding a gun ) but YOU HAVE SO MUCH DEVELOPMENT I'M SHOCKED. It's thanks to your 4* that i saw a new way to like you. At the time you wouldn't believe me when I said alongside Aya and Hina she was my worst girl. When I got her as my frist ever 4*, she was maybe higher up just for that ( i have an actual list on printer paper that says she's 23rd or [ 22nd i don't remember and i can't really search for it because i will make a mess ] but just because she was my first 4* ), but then i got so obsessed with her it's shocking :0.

How did i realize i liked her?

But also without that she's super cute and wholesome!! Also all of her costumes and cards are good!

Maya: I think she's relatable and adorable! Also her aesthetic is one of the best. Oh and her interactions are pure gold honestly. And also top tier nerd girl man.
