* Title: The Synagogue.

* Participants: the Roselia girls.

* the story:

In the first year of Haneoka, a new student enters the class (Along with Ako, Rokka, and Asuka), She answers to the name Sarah Cohen. (Japanese: Sara Koēn/ サラ コーエン) She has honey eyes and brown hair, Similar to Tsugu, but her eyes are brighter, to Arisa's shade, She appears to be a Vocalist in her own band. But it's the first time Ako hears the word "Jewish", a day later during the practices of Roselia, Ako gets excited and messes up her practice, Sayo notices it, and declares a break, Ako explains about Sarah, and she wishes to know what is Jewish, thinking it's a cool thing. As usual, Yukina and Sayo are on the "No" camp and Lisa tries to assure them it may help them for ideas, to no avail the two agrees, and Ako consults with Sarah about where they should meet and when, sarah mentions the adress of a Synagogue, and Saturday morning. The day comes and the 5 enters the strange building, they are instructed to go up for the balcony. It goes as it goes, and in the middle of the prayer, the Rabbi explains that in their Reformic Synagogue, the new visitors has to sing a prayer. As a tradition. The 5 agrees to the challenge, and Yukina amazes everyone while singing the desired prayer. Sarah and Ako becomes great friend and Roselia learnt to respect another religion.

• Phrase: "C'mom girls~, don't automatically reject before you're trying! 🎶"
• Untrained: Hers is the most provocative of the 5, She wears only a mid length sleeve, barely covering her albows, and her shirt has a teardrop keyhole, but as Sarah instructed, She wears a body shirt to cover. Lisa's eyes are Sparkly as she is excited by how beautiful the building is.
• Trained: Matching outfit to Sayo, she really enjoys playing and she winks, her eyes have a green-ish huge. And she winks.
• Skill: "So beautiful here!" Score boost of 90% for 8 seconds, Misses are not counted and converted to greats, however HP is lost in twice the amount for a miss.

* 4🌟 Yukina, "the new Levi"

• Phrase: "You want us to sing a holy song? Fine. It does match what we usually write"
• Untrained: Matching outfit to Sayo, Yukina's hair is sorted in a low ponytail with her butterfly ornamentation placed on her nape to hold the hair behind her.
• Trained: Matching outfit to the others. Yukina is seen forming the priest's gesture with her left hand raised while singing, She wears a mere madonna though so her other hand touches her chest.
• Skill: "Sacred singing" Heals 200 HP, If for 5-8 seconds after skill initiations the HP reaches 0, Player is revived with 500/1000 HP. In Multiplayer does the same.

* 4🌟 Ako "Curious Coolness"

• Phrase: "Sarah is so cool! I wonder if we can be friends!"
• Untrained: Chuunibiyu behaviour with fairly similar outfit to Yukina, Sarah Cameo behind her with a ^^; face. Ako holds the Prayer book like it's a Dark summoner's curse book
• Trained: Sitting on the stairs like JP white day with her sticks in her hands, wearing the revamped roselia outfit.
• Skill: "The Dark goddess Strikes" Perfect lock: All notes that are good and below are converted to perfect for 7 Seconds HP is lost at (200/180/160/140/120%) as compensation if bad or a miss.

It's not as good as I had in my head. But I am curious if it's even plausible.

Day 15: Favourite origin story

Hhh I fell asleep trying to reread band stories last night

Right so this is probably an unpopular opinion (?), I've heard some people say Roselia's band story is unrealistic and has inconsistent characterisation because Yukina and Sayo are established as having professional mindsets and zero tolerance for subpar technique, yet they do a trial run with Ako and Lisa and boom! Immediate chemistry, standards fly out the window because the music worked its magic.

Sure, what are the chances that's gonna happen in practice (it's a nice trope though, I'm guilty of using it and I'm not gonna stop), but I wouldn't say it's a problem because it undermines Yukina and Sayo's way of thinking. The point of Roselia's origin story (and Neo-Aspect too) is that a band built purely on technical prowess can't last. All of the band members have different reasons for wanting to get together. Yukina and Sayo only use their high standards to hide their true intentions, and Yukina comes to realise that she's never been able to keep her feelings separate from her music, no matter what she tells people.

Roselia's origin story is my favourite because it goes into every character's personal motivations and has them come into conflict with one another, forcing the girls to communicate and sort out their issues and form a bond that goes beyond what they'd been aiming for in the beginning. They've all come so far . . .

Unrelated but one gripe I have about S2 is the mentor-student relationship Roselia has with PoPiPa, for me Roselia's appeal comes from the gap between their musical skills and their communication skills and I like seeing the two bands on equal footing bc PoPiPa, while lacking in musical skill, has always been built on friendship and togetherness
