Wahoo! Today, I'm finally going to be caught up with Bandtober! This is going to be an extremely long post, so feel free to skip this in the feed (although there is a cool announcement at the bottom, so scroll down if you want to see it.)

Day 11: First Show!

(BonTraveler restaurant-- backstage)

Nigira: Waaah~, I’m so nervous!

Oro: Why are you nervous? It’s your own family restaurant! You’ve performed here a thousand times!

Ichika: Oro-senpai~, your hands are shaking!

Oro: Ahaha! I’m not the one whose parents own the restaurant!!

Ichika: And meanwhile, Kona-senpai looks perfectly calm . . .

Kona: Hm-hm-hmmmm♪ Polar bears♪

Oro: KONA!! Stop thinking about polar bears for one second!

Kona: What? Oh! Yeah! Okay. Sorry . . . polar bears are my motivation . . .

Oro: You’re such a dork.

Nigira: Why are you being so quiet, Shiro-chan?

Shiro: M-must-- st-stay-- calm . . .

Nigira: Aww~, Shiro-chan! Everything’s going to . . . be okay . . . waaaaah~!

Ichika: Nigira-senpai, crying isn’t gonna help, is it~?

Nigira: You guys are mean~!

Oro: You sound like Himari.

Nigira: I spend too much time around her . . .

Shiro: Aahh! We’re on!

Kona: Wahoo!

Nigira: Phew . . . deep breaths, let’s go!

(BonTraveler stage)

Nigira: Hello, BonTraveler!

(Silence.)

Nigira: I-I know I’ve messed up in the past . . . and I haven’t done my job properly, but now . . . I have a band!

Nigira: I mean . . . we have a band. And although we disagree . . . a lot . . . and our practices are kinda chaotic, we’re together. And we’ll stay that way. Performing to show that anyone can play music.

Nigira: I present you . . .

BonTekuno: BONTEKUNO!

Oro: Let’s kick things off with S-O-L-O!!

Day 12: Songwriting!

(Ichika’s room)

Kona: Ooo, your place is nice and cozy!

Shiro: Yeah, it’s really cute, in a unique sort of way! W-wait-- unique is a good thing, right?

Ichika: Thanks! Hina-senpai helped me decorate it!

Oro: You really like that PasuPare girl, don’t you . . .

Nigira: So, Ichika, what were your ideas for the new song?

Ichika: Uhhh . . . around here somewhere.

Oro: You lost them?

Ichika: No, but before you guys came over my mom told me to clean my room, and I kinda shoved everything wherever it would fit . . .

Shiro: Ahaha, that’s so like you, Chika-chan . . .

Kona: Well, let’s help you find them, then~. Do you remember where you put them?

Nigira: Yeah! Let’s start with your--

Ichika: Aah! I found them!

Oro: Phew . . . that was quick. Let’s read them, then.

Ichika: So, I was going for some nostalgia here . . . does it make you guys think of when you were little? It’s not a song yet, but it’s some brainstorming.

Kona: Ooo~, I love it! Polar!

Shiro: Wow . . . you really went deep into me and Oro’s backstory, didn’t you . . .?

Oro: Wh-what?! Let me see.

Oro: Oh . . . it’s actually not bad . . .

Nigira: Alright, guys, let’s turn this into a song! I want to kind of tie in the word ‘Nostalgia’ somewhere in the main chorus . . .

Kona: Like techno-stalgia . . . or something--

Ichika: Kona-senpai, that’s genius!

Kona: Eh? Oh!

Oro and Kona: Technostalgia!

Nigira: Yeah, I seriously love that!

Shiro: It works perfectly for our band’s theme!

Oro: Okay, but it’s just one word. Or a fusion of two words . . . we’ve gotta work on the actual song.

Nigira: This melody just kinda popped into my head . . . it’s just a couple notes, though . . . hmm-hmm-hmmmm-hm-hmmmm-hmm~!

Ichika: I really like that! It sounds like the beginning of the song . . .

Oro: Noooo, I was just going to say it works for the pre-chorus.

Nigira: Oh. I thought it sounded like the end of the song.

Shiro: Why do you all fight over everything? Eep . . . I didn’t mean to be harsh . . .

Kona: Let’s just take those notes and see how they work for the rest of the song, okay?

Nigira: Yeah. So we know that the chorus will start with ‘TECHNOSTALGIA!’ But we don’t want it to be like, a shout.

Oro: Yeah, cause we want it to be nostalgic.

Shiro: So . . . kinda sad, but hopeful for the future at the same time?

Ichika: Yeah, something like that. I’m seeing lots of piano. Shiro? You can make piano stuff, right?

Shiro: Sure can!

Kona: Woohoo~, this song is coming along nicely!

Oro: Kya!! Kona, we haven’t even written any lyrics!

Day 14: Album Cover

Since I was planning on having all of the members on the album cover, I couldn't draw it in one day, so here's the description! (Sorry, no artwork today.)

There are glowing spheres all over a gray background, floating in the air, and the BonTekuno members are grabbing them, trying not to fall off. It sounds really weird, but it would probably make more sense if I drew it. (Maybe I'll do a sketch tomorrow?)

Day 15: Rivals

Time for the announcement!! I've been working on very basic ideas for a new band based off of the character I made in that one mix-traits-and-make-a-Bandori-girl post someone made (I can't remember who ack--)! I haven't decided on a name yet, but it's themed off of my love of creating dessert gijinka characters! (Here are a few examples of them.) Their outfits are dessert-based, and their music is kind of a mix between PasuPare and PoPiPa, with some Morfonica elements! Anyway, BonTekuno and them are rivals! Haven't figured out why yet, just that they are.

Is anybody interested in me doing a series of videos of playing without music? The idea is you could listen to the beat patterns if you're having trouble with a section of a song. Or I could do videos with very low music if that would be more helpful... or both!

If I can work out a setup I might be able to record my hands to help thumb players with finger placement, too. Give this a like if you want me to do this or comment your opinions below. :)

This card is just too beautiful. I'm definitely being biased because I love astronomy but this card is absolutely amazing.

Day 27: Favorite 3 star(s)

I just love this set okay? That's all I have to say about that.

Day 28: Favorite Event

Once again, I love astronomy way too much.

Day 29: Character(s) You Relate to

This might be a little long.

Moca - I feel like I have her kind of role in my friend group. I'm just that one weird and kinda energetic friend. I also love manga, I love bread, and I wear hoodies a lot.

Misaki - Even though I have those traits of Moca, I'm also sometimes- I don't really know how to describe it- just Misaki-like I guess. I also wear her style of clothes, except masculine versions of her clothes, except I feel like the clothes I wear aren't really gendered necessarily. I literally just wear hoodies, t-shirts, and sweatpants.

PAREO, surprisingly - I don't relate much with her, but I do relate to the fact that I have to hide certain sides of me a lot (in PAREO's case, this would be hiding her "PAREO" side during school) because they won't be accepted by some people. This includes my soft side, since there's a standard that males aren't supposed to show emotions (I personally find that standard really stupid), my just not-so-masculine side in general, and the obvious one, my gayness (although, I'm getting more comfortable with expressing that part of me).
