ANYWAY, AAside news!

starting on the 31st at 15:00 JST is the next event, MANIFESTO ～Declaration of War～! (the subtitle of which, side note, is the same Sensenfukoku as the Sensenfukoku in ... SENSENFUKOKU ...) looks like Ryou's gonna be one of the 4*s.

and I will be suffering cause 3/4 of my useable Gyro cards are Cool which will be completely useless next event oh my gOD,

before that though, on the 29th (so ... today) at 16:00 JST, there'll be an update with some bug fixes as well as design changes to the session part, specifically making the double hold notes more visible and adding an option to change note size. there's also changes to the background in the logo 2D mode but I've never used that so no idea what that will amount to lol

as an apology for the issues experienced so far, we'll all get 500 Navistones!

Hi this is unrelated to the song challenge but it’s a post I wanted to make before I got distracted by said challenge

After trying to contain my Roselia obsession (did I actually try? no), I’ve come to the conclusion that it can’t be done. And so I present to you:

Roselia Songs That Make Me Cry Part 2

Neo-Aspect

• Melodically this song is just so beautiful and it was born out of so much guilt and getting lost before finding the way again I cannot
• The chorus is so raw and powerful and comforting at the same time and the heckin. High notes. God. It’s even better in certain live performances where AiAi does that voice crack/squeak thing coming down on the melisma
• The “Kitto” at the beginning of the second chorus is softer than the others. AiAi reproduces this, without fail, every single time she sings it live
• The vibrato on the “Oto tsubu wo” in the bridge

Sanctuary

• I didn’t pay much attention to this song at first and that was dumb of me bc the Roselia summer event is the follow-up to BS2 and that’s basically the entire reason Sanctuary hits me so hard. It’s Yukina saying, “I never want to hurt you all again and I will do everything in my power to prevent that from happening”
• DEAREST YOU ARE MY DEAREST do you know how much pain those words bring me
• It was actually a comment by Nine Subs on one of their videos that got me to look at the lyrics properly. They mentioned the “Konna ni mo kitto/Konna ni mo zutto” part where Yukina can’t even finish the line bc she can’t fully express her feelings in words and the only thing that will get them across is, well, dropping everything and yelling out that F#5. No but really it does things to me

Yakusoku

• Literally every time Lisa sings
• “Flower of life”
• The entire bridge but especially the way Yukki sings the “Shinjite ite saigo made” and Yukina and Lisa doing the “Yakusoku dayo” together. Their friendship is everything
• Yukki absolutely breaking my heart at Rausch

Ringing Bloom

• The fact that the seiyuu said this song makes them cry
• The keyboard in the intro . . . Rinko is on fire and I’m living for it, it’s like she’s pounding out her resolve
• Rinko’s singing doesn’t make me cry exactly but it’s just. So nice

determination symphony is nice (it's also my first 27 fc), i really like neo-aspect and the passionates, i like all the noble rose songs, break your desire, and zeal of proud

i do like kouga ninpouchou and shin ai as well but those are covers ;)
