i present to u all: "Mo' Money Mo'... Otherworldly Powers??"
“Did I get this one right?” Kanon holds up her felt doll after finishing.
“I mean, if you meant to make a penguin cyclops, then yeah.” Misaki perceives, by Kanon’s fueeing, that her friend isn’t happy with the outcome. “Wait, don’t throw it away. Besides, the teacher doesn’t even keep a trash can in this classroom, for whatever reason.”
Kanon sets the doll on a nearby desk and takes up a new project.
“Yeah, that one should be easier. …Hey, Kanon, this is random but—have you noticed Kokoro’s been more... influential, than usual?”
“I’m not sure I’m following, sorry…”
“Nah, no big deal, but uh… well, there was that one time at the beach a month ago, remember?” The two begin to recall their beach experience.
Kokoro, in their combined memory, is flopping along the shoreline. “Hmm, this water is making it really hard to do the worm. Oh, I know!” Moments later, the ocean’s water begins to recede… and recede… and recede. As far in and down as one can see, the ocean floor is dry, with billions of fish and other creatures flopping like Kokoro. Unlike her, they eventually stop. “Much better!”
“Oh, well… I guess that was kinda strange, wasn’t it…” Kanon pauses. “But then again, maybe her dad owns that beach, or something…?”
“No, think about it. Money can't exactly drain the entire ocean. What about that time when we were in outer space?”
Kokoro, in their combined memory, is flopping along the cosmos. “Hmm… this intergalactically expansive vacuum is making it really hard to do the worm. Oh, I know!” Moments later, the Earth comes barreling towards the girls, and they land without injury on its surface. They’re deep within a raining savannah. “Much better!”
“Yeah, that was weird… but those women in the suits were in the spaceship nearby, so—”
“Kanon, uh... How did they arrange for the Earth to go flying out of its orbit?”
Just as Kanon goes to answer, Kokoro barges into the classroom. “Oh, I thought you two wouldn’t be here, since school’s been out for a while! Can you both help me out?”
Kanon looks at Misaki. ‘See, nothing unusual’, Kanon's face reads as she goes to speak. “What’s wrong, Kokoro?”
“Well, this old and stuffy building is making it really hard to do the worm. Oh, I know!” Kokoro goes bolting out of the classroom.
Misaki and Kanon look at each other.
“M-Misaki, it’s just a coincidence. …Right?”
Kokoro now flops through the remains of Hanasakigawa Girls’ High School. “Much better!” A felt penguin lays halfway crushed under a pile of rubble nearby.
