I love Kanata as a concept because ARGONAVIS went four whole bands without something largely overdramatic (Gyroaxia comes close but idk they're more like on a WE WANNA BE THE BEST basis like Roselia on steroids which is pretty realistic still) and then in Epsilon they just slammed down a jar filled to the brim with Problematic tropes, picked two out at random, and ended up with "yandere" and "brocon"
and then they were just like okay cool we've got our bassist
like all of Epsilon needs therapy, but they made the core idea of Kanata's character so utterly irredeemable that I cannot WAIT to see what they do with his development. I hope he doesn't get better too soon. I want him to be at his absolute worst for at least a year. honestly, as a writer, I have no idea how I'd make him grow as a person and out of his obsessive behaviour, but I'm sure they've got a plan ...
I love a good ol' Asshole Character but I'm not usually into full-on yandere; however, I can respect a bold choice like this ... and I'm super excited to see him & Haruka interact in the stories, I wanna see how they handle this super duper heavy conflict
and now, I'll shut up about AAside again okay bye. never know if I should tag it as not about BanDori considering that, technically, it is, but. yknow.
