Idk why but as you can see, I really like rarepairs . . . specifically when I ship girls
As for the popular ships that aren't on here—which is most of them—I'm not a fan but I don't dislike them enough to label them as NOTPs. Anything else unspecified I'm either neutral towards or haven't thought about. I've got an idea of the RAS ships I might like but I'll leave that till we have more content of them

Day 16: Favourite limited gacha
These cards. THESE CARDS. I don't usually like swimsuit sets that much but this one is a huge exception. The outfits are so soft and flowy and the colour schemes all look amazing, whether they're more pastel or warm or bright. This set actually killed me when it came out

Day 14: Favourite original overall
Like I said, PoPiPa does make these decisions notoriously difficult but in the end I gotta go with this. It's such an important song for the Bandori franchise, having roots in Betadori and then becoming the catalyst for Saaya moving on from the past in the current canon. Sound-wise, there isn't another song that captures the sparkling heart-pounding feeling that Kasumi—and by extension PoPiPa—chases, not the way Star Beat does. And well, that's fitting given its name. Right from the opening 'lalalala's it makes you feel like you're floating and soaring and running high up in the sky, and nothing can knock you down.

Day 13: Favourite cover overall
Romeo and Cinderella is a beautiful song in the first place and on top of that Kasumi sounds so soft and heavenly . . . the way her voice navigates the notes so effortlessly . . . I love the arrangement too, especially the keyboard part. I love everything about this cover I'm so glad we have the full version

Day 12: Favourite "other" song
At first I thought maybe RAS's music would be too hardcore for my tastes but I'm glad I was wrong. The passages where the keyboard shines balance out the loud parts and Rei's voice is super nice and complements the instrumentals well. Also this song in particular reminds me of Nana Mizuki's recent-ish vibe and I used to be a huge fan of hers (I mean Elements Garden writes a lot of her music so yeah, some Roselia songs give me that too)
But the best thing? The cutesy yelling of "RAISE YOUR HANDS, NOW!" which doesn't seem like it'd work but does bc RAS is a hot mess

Day 11: Favourite HaroHapi song
HaroHapi's music is pretty much right up there with PoPiPa's for me. They've got quite a wide range which is nice to see and I'm fond of most of their stuff but my faves tend to be the jazzy, fun songs, of which Goka Gokai is the perfect example. I love show tunes so it's an absolute blessing, with its high energy, rhythmic drive, call and responses and just a heckin good melody (who do I have to pay to see this acted out in a musical starring our fav group of idiots?)
Honourable mention bc I have to: Kimi ga Inakucha comes so close, it's got this more grounded sound that's still very HaroHapi-esque and the solos are to die for

Day 6: Favourite PasuPare character
Honestly? When I first saw Aya in PasuPare's band story I was strongly reminded of one of my fav characters of all time—Amu Hinamori from Shugo Chara! (no it actually wasn't Madoka, I can't remember if I thought of her when pigtailed Aya was on the loading screen but either way that comparison left less of an impression on me). They're very different in a lot of ways but Aya's casual hairstyle, hair colour and voice bore some pretty close resemblance to Amu's, and what really sold it for me was the way Aya's character was established. Namely through her sense of conscience and the strength of her beliefs. My brain took a pretty big nostalgia hit at that point because here was another pink-haired girl driven by idealism and a steadfast moral compass but prone to self-doubt, and I decided then and there that she was gonna be my fav in this band. She was actually my second-favourite overall for quite a while.
So yeah it started with me comparing her to someone else but it quickly became apparent that Aya is a wonderful character in her own right. I admire her for the warmth and kindness she shows to others and her determination to follow through with her decisions, even if the whole world is against her, including herself. Wouldn't having her as a friend be the best thing? I think it'd be easy to feel comfortable with someone like her in your company—she just gives off that sort of reassuring vibe.
That said, she's also an absolute mess when she has to perform and that and her idealistic beliefs I can relate to a lot. It's super inspiring, watching her struggle and pull through by working hard and refusing to give up, even if she may not be naturally talented as an idol. It's what she's always wanted to do, and she sticks with it and never loses sight of what's important to her—that an idol must be true to herself, because that's what the audience will connect with.

Day 10: Favourite HaroHapi character
I have a clear favourite in every other band but HaroHapi has to make it hard for some reason. Until very recently Kanon and Misaki were locked in eternal warfare or so I thought, then out of nowhere Hagu showed up unannounced and seized the throne so. That's how it is right now. Is that how it's gonna stay? Who knows but one thing's certain, I'm bursting with love for this girl.
Hagumi isn't the sort of character I'd deem as a fav usually but this development comes right on the heels of my finally watching Hibike!Euphonium and unexpectedly falling for Hazuki Katou so apparently I have a thing for short-haired genki girls who try their best to keep smiling no matter what happens now?
And that pretty much sums up why I love Hagu. She may be one of the sanbaka but she's very emotionally astute and worries a lot about other people's problems and her inability to help them because she'd help everyone if she could, she doesn't like the dog-eat-dog attitude that permeates society . . . not to mention her own family issues. Someone so deeply empathetic is likely susceptible to being overwhelmed by all of that, but Hagu stays positive and is such a fun-loving, joyful ray of sunshine who belongs so perfectly with HaroHapi and their mission that it's easy to forget the hardships in her life. What an amazing girl. Support Hagumi

Day 8: Favourite Roselia character
My baby aaa
Rinko is my second favourite overall and as with Arisa and her tsun-ness, I really appreciate that her social anxiety is portrayed as a serious issue she has to grapple with and she’s not just shy and cute for fanservice purposes. She was the character I related to the most for a long time and that’s only debatable now because there’s something of a three-way tie there but that’s for another day.
Like Rinko, I’m super uncomfortable going to events with a lot of people and trying new things, but unlike her I’m usually deterred by that and give up pretty quickly. Rinko doesn’t. It may be scary, it may take her a while to step out of her comfort zone but she’s determined to keep bettering herself and won’t let fear or discomfort stand in her way. Overcoming her anxiety is a huge challenge for her and you can see that, yet she tries so hard because she knows exactly what she wants and has the iron will to see the battle through.
That’s what I’m drawn to. I love that in spite of her shyness she can be very self-possessed and isn’t easily swayed. When she’s in her element nothing can stop her and the moment someone dares to hurt her friends? She’ll hunt them down, Garupa Pico style!—no but she will defend her friends with everything she’s got. The last Rinko-centric event on JP made me super emotional even though I only got the gist of it because I’ve been in her situation before, and she persevered where I eventually threw in the towel. She inspires me so much. It’s kinda like “If she can do it despite having a harder time than you, why can’t you you big dumb”
Rinko is brave and talented and hard-working and kind and perceptive as heck what a good girl

Day 9: Favourite Roselia song
So Roselia's music is quality stuff and nice to listen to but I feel like a a good half of their songs don't make me feel much—which doesn't mean they're bad, just that I appreciate them differently to how I appreciate PoPiPa's or HaroHapi's music
Neo-Aspect though. Hh this song. I remember listening to it for the first time when the MV came out and just. It's so pretty all the way through and those high notes in the chorus, oh boy did I feel them. They're hammered out relentlessly as if Yukina is reaching and reaching and trying to make her words get through. If that wasn't enough, I wrote an angsty Roselia fic involving this song after the announcement of Akeshan's retirement and made myself even sadder so yes I bask in the pain and enjoy every moment of it (like not Akeshan leaving but after translating real emotions into fiction . . . yeah that sorta pain)
