Momoyukiis

I’m sorry for the long post guys.

I don’t know if there’s anyone else here who knows but there’s a little game I play called “Death Road to Canada”. It’s a roguelike zombie apocalypse simulator where you lead a group of up to 4 people/animals in an attempt to get to Canada and escape the zombie outbreak while getting involved in sieges. A feature in the game includes making custom characters with different personality traits. That’s my cue to create the Bandori characters as survivors of a zombie apocalypse.

I start with Kokoro, an oblivious explorer, and Misaki, a civilised surgeon. On the way to Canada, they met Chisato, a friend of dog and city seeker, as well as Lisa, a nurturing surgeon. They also meet Tomoe who doesn’t join us as the car’s full. Shenanigans ensue with the four survivors.

  • Kokoro attempts to rob traders which upsets Lisa and Misaki immensely
  • Misaki becomes an amazing medic and mechanic
  • Lisa becomes an equally amazing medic.
  • Chisato attracts many dogs who were sadly neglected.
  • The group are challenged to a drag race. Kokoro asks what the rules are and steals the challenger’s car’s fuel.
  • Lisa nurses an injured moose.
  • Misaki was eternally sad while everyone else was happy
  • Misaki helped the group avoid road bandits a lot.

They all make it to the the last part of the game where they face a 4/5 hour siege before getting to Canada’s border. Everything is well until I lead Kokoro and the gang past a pile of trash. Misaki follows Kokoro but both Chisato and Lisa are trapped on the other side. Chisato somehow meets back up with them. Lisa’s fate was sealed. Luckily everyone else made it to Canada successfully. The experience was surreal but most of it was determined from luck. I cannot stress how good this game is as a time waster as it can played repeatedly with different outcomes.
