I finally realized which cover I would really like on Bandori: Ah, what a wonderful Cat's Life starring Kasumi and Yukina.

So I got my copy of Anfang yesterday, and while I thoroughly love Roselia's sound (wouldn't have bought this after all if I didn't), being a WW player who deliberately ignores (most) JP content... Going through the album with a majority of the songs being "new" to me, I can totally see the whole "their songs tend to sound very similar to each other" thing. I think the only new song that made me perk up while hearing it in the masses was Kiseki. And I'm kinda disappointed in the album design... It's a sort of minimalist style but with their elaborate costumes etc I expected more than a pitch-black booklet with white letters and a similar border as the cover got on all pages. That's literally it. Nothing else on the entire booklet or inlay. There's a small emblem on the back cover at least. While past indie Vkei victim me fondly remembers all the CD's I still own in that style, it kind of feels weird to see it with Roselia. In their context, it doesn't feel stylish but a bit lazy? Somehow it doesn't fit for me...

Oh well. What counts is the music huh. I'm still happy I got it, but it certainly won't be one of the CD's I sometimes open just to look through the booklet.

Now please, Craft Egg, give me a PasuPare album soon. Don't you want my money?

(I wonder if Craft Egg could somehow with a SKY-HI song in this game... I want a HHW cover of his works... he has such a motivating sound, despite being far from my usual tastes.)

It is my mission in life to share music with the people around me (no kidding, I manage to drop music recs even in professional settings), so if you ever found yourself enjoying a JRPG soundtrack, especially battle themes, these seven and a half minutes are for you .

Granblue kills my sanity, but pieces like this keep me alive nevertheless.

And while I'm here... Craft Egg, can we get covers of Ai Otsuka songs? Are you telling me Happy Days doesn't scream HHW?! Or Amaenbo (or any of her ballads really), that would be so beautiful for PasuPare... Yumekui and the like for PopiPa.

Not sure about Afterglow, and if the style wasn't so far away from Roselia's, Yukina would probably love to cover Neko ni Fuusen. Just. Please give me an Ai Otsuka cover.

Dear Diary,

The day has come. I finally got an Aya that isn't the initial 1* or 2*. My account isn't forsaken anymore.

PasuPare being last in the voting... no surprise there. But it's okay, you're all number one in my heart and no one can change that ;o; Not even Roselia steamrolling us into the dust.

(It's kinda funny how much even this reminds me of Banyaro... Osiris steamrolled everything and especially Cure²tron in these things too lol... we're all dark, aren't we.)

Please don't flay me for this, but after I saw so many people waiting for railgun I am... very sad and heartbroken to say that I absolutely do not like it. Why did they pick Poppin Party for it? Kasumi's voice is so weak here. She deserves better. I'm unappy with the arrangement too... it's such a shame, it's one of my favorite songs of all time and for now I don't see myself enjoying it anytime soon... hopefully it will grow on me, eventually...

Now I'm truly scared to hear Romeo for the first time. What if my taste is just horribly far away from everyone else...?

Shoutout to Kaoru and Kokoro for making me laugh no matter what. I'm truly grateful for their creation.

This event story is glorious, I didn't expect to have so much fun with one of my lesser liked tropes. God bless.

So with everyone's excitement over the wedding gacha I got baited and did a multi. Ratio was meh, but at least the single 3* was my first Ako aka Best Drummer... and most importantly I got the new Kaoru who's the only one I actually wanted out of the set, so this is pretty nice.

I hope Aya forgives me though...

This is a bit personal but please bear with my sentimental outburst.

So, this event. I've been a bit busy with my other game (of course GBF gets MagFes right in time for PasuPare! My gaming life in a nutshell) and was only able to catch up a bit now. Being a global only player, I went into this event story completely unprepared - and now I'm sitting here a sniffling mess because it's way too close to home. See, my own very favorite idol, the artist who sometimes quite literally saved my life with just her blog entries or lyrics, and always gives me so much strength through her songs, shares a name with Aya's "starting point". It doesn't help that Aya is my favorite bandori girl of them all, for all the things she is and is not. So this very idea of having to let go of the artist who defined so many of your ideals, and figuring out how to deal with it resonates heavily with me. I was reading most of the story on the train, but when Chapter 5 made it quite obvious what the other PasuPare members are going to do, I had to save the epilogue for when I was back home. Good thing I did.

People meeting their idols, the people they value so much for what they taught them... being able to tell them what their existence and work brought to life... It has been and will always be one of the things that will make me tear up like a fool. There's just something so very beautiful about it.
