I'm technically late for day 1 of Bandtober but shh it's still the 1st somewhere in the world!!! I'm definitely not gonna do all the prompts, but there's a couple that are really tempting me. idk if I'll actually do it, but I at least want to make a general Introduction post for all my (currently) four fanbands!
unfortunately, no art because I still haven't gotten past Ikuto for the non-Sirenity folks ... and I also haven't figured out half of their logos yet ... but!! quick intros, I suppose. I haven't talked much about the latter two in particular, but they're also very dear to me.
Sirenity • band story
Vo.: Hiiragi Mae / Gt.: Hiiragi Ria (Leader) / Ba.: Amane Ichirou / Key.: Haiki Kaede / Dr.: Ranmaru Hayato
「The top is ours. Victory is a matter of course.」
A rock band from Otaru, Hokkaidou, that was formed by five high schoolers, four of which come from wealthy families. They aim to reach the top of the world with the best songs they can make.
Sirenity is a mixed band centred by Hiiragi Mae, heir of the prestigious Hiiragi family and basically Sirenity's feral pet puppy. they're a band whose members have all been excelling in their craft since childhood. most of them have been professionally trained (Ria being the exception, but she's very invested in the guitar and has been practicing diligently since she was four), so even though they've been formed only recently, they've been making a name for themselves very quickly.
their music ranges somewhere between angry and kinda pretentious, and their general aesthetic has a high-class feel about it, inspired by military and royalty. but then you look at their interpersonal relationship and they eventually turn into a found family where 4/5 of the members are actually really pleasant people when it comes down to it ... and then there's Mae ...

*KALEIDOSKOPE. • band story (WIP)
Vo.: Hanami Ikuto / Gt.: Kasura Ryuuji (Leader) / Ba.: Miyadera Suguru / Key.: Shimano Hajime / Dr.: Shizukawa Minami
「Like the inside of a kaleidoscope in which brilliant colours are dancing, our music, too, should shine like a prism.」
A previously established band from Otaru, Hokkaidou, that recently lost its vocalist. Struggling to keep their sound, they recruited Hanami Ikuto to fill the space that was left.
Kaleidoskope, composed of four guys and Minami, who's nonbinary, has a whole lot going on in their past - their previous vocalist, Inoue Rinto, had a falling-out with the rest of the members, and, unable to let go of the band they created, the remaining members recruited Ikuto as their new vocalist. they started out as a club in high school and eventually decided to pursue this path when they reached university, while Ikuto himself is a talented songwriter who doesn't really care that much about singing and much more so about getting his own music out there.
their sound has always been very soft, even more so since Ikuto joined. my main inspiration for it was PoPiPa's softer songs like Setsunai Sandglass and Mirai Train ... the keyboard also tends to be prominent in their works. Rinto used to write all their songs, but eventually, Ikuto will take over that role. we're not at that point yet, though! aesthetic-wise, they tend to go for very simple and light outfits. although their namesake is quite colourful, they choose a much more pastel palette overall.

aurora aurea
Vo.&Ba.: Inoue Rinto (Leader) / Vn.: Haiki Yanagi / Key.: Kashima Yuuta / Dr.: Kagehira Daichi / Flt.: Takigawa Inari
「Say, if you were given the chance to reach out and touch the stars, as long as you put everything on the line – would you take it?」
A newly formed all-male band from Ishikari, Hokkaidou, that bewitches its audience with its unique blend of symphonic and modern music. Lacking a guitar, the violin takes the main spotlight alongside the vocals by Inoue Rinto, formerly from *KALEIDOSKOPE.
this is what Kaleidoskope's former vocalist is up to now that he's left his old friends behind. he went out and gathered some of the best people he could find to form a band quite unlike any other - not only do they replace their guitar with a violin (played by Sirenity's keyboardist's twin brother), they also have a flute in there.
they actually tend to add more oomph with additional instruments (via playback when they play live), though all of those are played and recorded by their flautist, Inari, a true musical genius who's mastered several instruments. their music, all written by Rinto, has an almost orchestra-like feel to it, though its volume and intensity varies from piece to piece, and they've often been described as pretentious both in their sound and how they carry themselves ... personality-wise, while their ages range from 17 (Yanagi - high school 3rd yr) to 27 (Yuuta - a music teacher at Yanagi's school), they're professional above all else. they're also Evil.

HOP✩STEP♡DREAM
Vo.: Saitou Aguri / Gt.: Yumeooji Kaguya / Gt.: Kagami Setsuna / Ba.: Hidaka Ana / Dr.: Tsukimiya Riko
「A magical girl's job is to banish the evils that threaten the people and help everyone to smile every day!」
A magical girl-themed band from Tokyo that puts on colourful and vibrant shows for their fans in order to make them happy. When they enter the stage, they transform into musical allies of love and justice, chasing away the shadows of this world.
made of two shy high schoolers who love music and magical girls, but didn't have the confidence to do anything with it, and the three university students who've pretty much adopted them, this girls band is all about bright colours and powerful genki songs. they're a lot louder than HaroHapi tends to be and they go hard on their mahou shoujo gimmick (including their pet bird, Pekorin, functioning as their mascot).
they're a very easy to understand band with a lot of hidden depth. Aguri's background in particular isn't the happiest (and she may or may not have run away from home to live with Kaguya), and all the others also have a lot of their own weight to bear. but they've found a support system in each other and the music that they make, and they help each other in their times of struggle, just like magical girls would.
