I told myself “Don’t focus too much on Bandori merch” when I went out that day and then I walked around and I found-bought this, this and that and there’s SO MUCH more I could have AND SHOULD HAVE bought that I didn’t and I’m so ANNOYED AT MYSELF FOR SO MANY REASONS-!
Yeah, I got more Bandori merch! Considering the disappointing amount of merch compared to the amount of money I could have spent (You don’t want to know) and what I saw, I’m pretty happy with what I got. School Days Rinko and (I think 4th Live?) PAREO are definitely the highlights.
Tae was a part of a random box that had all of PoPiPa in both winter and summer uniforms. I would have been happy with any, and I honestly want all of them now.
There’s a Pikachu. I didn’t buy it then. I Gachapon’d it today.
And I can FINALLY SAY I saw someone else play Garupa! In the store of where I got my pixel PAREO (No CHU²... sad.), which was a GOLD MINE for idol-esque stuff and was definitely more geared towards a female audience (so it was kinda awkward being in there but there was so much Bandori stuff that I couldn’t care). While I was browsing, I heard “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party” play (well, spoken) and I thought “Oh, they even have music in here... Wait- that’s not music..!”. I looked around and saw a girl sitting on the floor on the (JP) title screen. With my extremely limited Chinese, I roughly said “Oh, you play BanG Dream?”, which, in hindsight, is an incredibly stupid question to ask considering I can SEE her on Garupa but she replied with “Yes.” anyway. With my incredible Chinese (and my amazing social skills), I said nothing else, since one: I can’t hold a conversation (even in English, with a non-friend), two: She plays JP while I play EN and three: I don’t have any internet connection. While I was browsing, I heard her play FIRE BIRD (reminding me that EN still doesn’t have Ep. 13 songs) and I couldn’t help but hum along (somehow perfectly, I’ve only heard FIRE BIRD about 4 times).
Cool, only I would have special/important moments on holiday, AWAY from my home country.
