Sayo!

For the longest time, I couldn't figure out who I liked more, Yukina or Sayo, but ultimately, I realized I like Sayo a bit more. I think it's honestly because I relate more with Sayo?

When I read some of the Roselia band story, I was introduced to Sayo, someone who cared about being the best at guitar and playing the best music. I was surprised she went so far as to quit her original band because she felt like they weren't getting anywhere and no one was being as serious as she was. I started wondering why Sayo was so serious, and why she didn't get along with her sister.

That's when I found out about her inferiority complex towards Hina and I just...I felt like I understood Sayo so much more. I also understand what it's like to feel inferior towards someone (Or everyone in my case) It's just...it's frustrating, you know? Especially for Sayo, cuz Hina could play the guitar almost immediately while Sayo took longer to learn it. It makes you think "What was the point in all my hard work if someone else could learn it faster and better than me?" When people make it look so easy to do something, you feel really discouraged.

I really admire Sayo. Even if Hina learned guitar quickly, she didn't give up playing it. She wanted to get better. She has that drive to want to be good at something and she works hard to get to where she is. She's someone I wish I could be, someone who's motivated to improving their own self instead of wallowing in their sorrows.

I'm also really glad Sayo's been growing so much since the start of the series. She's had so much growth in the event stories and she's opening up so much to her band members now. Not only that, but she and Hina are finally COMMUNICATING. She's finally talking to Hina about how she feels and I honestly couldn't be prouder of this girl! I'm looking forward to seeing what future stories and events have for Sayo, but I know I'll keep supporting her from here on out~
