Hina-chan was a Drummer of the Guri*Guri, so powerful and so wise she could use the drumsticks to create sick ass beats... She had such a knowledge of the dark side that she could even keep the ones she cared about from getting out of sync. The dark side of the Drummers is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. She became so powerful... the only thing she was afraid of was losing her power, which eventually, of course, she did. Unfortunately, she taught PoPiPa everything she knew, then her apprentices killed her in her sleep. It's ironic she could save others from death, but not herself.
